...a very small device – what do you expect for this price?? The beauty of the camera is that you can shoot spontaneous video, replay it immediately (with sound) on the reasonable quality LCD screen, then keep it on memory to load onto to your PC, watch it on your TV or delete it immediately. Blimey! What a lot for your dosh. I also spent some time loading MP3 music tracks onto the Mustek DV5000 from my PC (this is just a matter of opening the relevant windows and dragging and dropping). They play via the external speaker (which isn’t very loud) or the headphones (supplied) which is fine. We will continue to play with this amazing little device for some time yet and I will add any new thoughts to this review as and when they occur. ...I recently upgraded myself to a digital camcorder from VHS and I have to say that the Mustek DV 5000 is a smart peice of kit. Videos, Pictures, Mp3, usb storage. The compact design is lightweight and palmsized so even a person with small hands can still use all the features of this Camera. I mainly use mine for videoing my Sunday Morning football teams matches so we can have a permanent record of the match. on a 512mb memory sd card you will get approx 110 minutes of high quality video. I have no problem holding the camera at eye level for upto an hour at a time whereas I di with my old vhs camcorder. also comes with a tripod which screws into the bottom of the camera and is excellent when using the timer function when taking pictures. you will also get over 900 high quality pictures or over 7500 low quality pictures... ...The video recording on the DV3000 is nat the best in the world. In natrual light (outside) the camera can see everything you can but inside the colours tend to go into a orange/red blur. It has three diffrent video modes, OK quality, GOOD quality and NIGHT mode. OK quality mode is great for recording things like bike riding and things that don't move very fast. But when you record things that tend to go faster than 15mph then the camera can keep up with it and it goes into a blur or somtimes the lense can't see it because it is going to fast. One good thing about this is that you can record for about 15 minutes at one time. GOOD quality mode is the best mode on the camera as it uses 3.1 mega pixels.
