...There is another Review on CIAO (pre-dates this) which sums up the functionality of this gadget, so I won't repeat the spec again. However the key attraction for me was that for £100 or thereabouts I would be able to record video straight from the TV. This was bought for me from dabs.com, who I have not bought from before but they seem to get mixed reviews. The item was shipped quickly and delivered on the date specified. We did a quick check that it was not damaged in transit and then it went away for a couple of weeks until my birthday. With great excitement I opened the box on my birthday and found the actual media player, which is about the size of a hard disk mp3 player, plus a carry case, headphones and several interconnects for PC and TV. Advantages: It has an excellent battery life, A quality picture too.

...This is a quality Item from Mustek, I purchased it a few weeks ago, and have enjoyed using it. It fits perfectly onto my car seat. This excellent portable dvd player has a wide variety of features, An excellent LCD Display 8.4" active matrix TFT (16:9), It supports the following Disc Formats: DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, MP3, CD-R/RW, Kodak Picture CD, JPEG! It has a Tv tuner and a scan output. Supplied with are the mains and car adaptors, So you can run it in your home, or if your on the go and want to let your kids or whoever watch it then it just plugs straight into your cigarette lighter socket and your away. ...I first came across Portable DVD players on a trip to Thailand and i was very tempted to get one however the cost didn't seem worth it. However i've been glads to see that the price of them in the UK have fallen dramatically so therefore i chose to snap one up. I chose the Mustek MP 70 D as it seemed like a good buy at just under £150 and it was a brand i was familiar with as they make scanners. The great thing about portable DVD players is that it can keep you occupied on a long trip.
