PlayStation 2 version with little real use made of the Wii remote. This though is a complete reimagining of the whole The Sims concept made exclusively for Nintendo's consoles. The concept is largely the same as always as you take control of the lives of your own fictional family in what's a cross between a video game and an interactive version of Big Brother. The graphics have been completely revamped, moving away from the pseudo realism of the older games and using a much cuter, cartoon style that's somewhere between Playmobil and Animal Crossing (they're actually modelled after a Japanese toy line called Pinky Street). Naturally the game makes full use of the Wii's controls with the remote used to pick up, rotate and drop objects and buildings with refreshing ease, while the nunchuck is used simply to move around. This is all in the aid of making the game as customisable as possible, from the characters themselves to their homes and furniture. Previously The Sims games let you build your own house or swimming pool but here you can design your own fridge if you want or bed, sofa or any other item of furniture. This feeds into the concept of having to do up your house and turn your virtual ghost town into a thriving village full of oddball characters. With Animal Crossing still some way off this could be the next big casual game on the Wii. Harrison Dent
Advantages: Fun, make everything exactly how you like it Disadvantages: Loading times, not really like the sims at all
MySims is the first Sims based game for the Nintendo Wii - yet, oddly, doesn't really have much at all to do with the normal Sims games. If you are imagining a game much like the PC version, based around running your families lives and trying to get them promoted and to pee in an orderly fashion then you're completely off. Instead, MySims is based around building, well, everything. You can build houses, build furniture, whatever you want! The game ... ...create your Sim. Much like the PC version you are able to change almost any feature you want, including hairstyle, clothing, colour. However, it isn't anywhere near as detailled - you aren't able to change the width of the eyes to suit your liking or anything like that, and the outfits come complete so no mixing and matching to suit your tastes. However there's still a very good variety and it shouldn't be too hard for you to create a Sim that you ...

Advantages: Simple fun, Gets your creative juices flowing! Disadvantages: This game will simply not appeal to some people.
Mysims is the first Sims game from the popular EA Games series to be on the Nintendo Wii.
Mysims is a Sims game like no other.
Of course there are similarities, but also many differences
Note - If you already know this about mysims then skip further down this review to the opinion part.
~Differences~
Sims cannot die, you do not marry, reproduce or age.
There is no currency in this game.
You sim does not need any sort of job.
Sims in this ... ...paint and glasses.
In Mysims you move into a small town that has become rundown and almost empty.
To entice people back into the town you must build things using essences.
Essences are found all over the mysims world. For example if you shake an a red apple tree, you will get red apple essence, if you go fishing you may get clownfish or crab essence... and burping in the face of another sim could help you gain angry essence.
As you talk to sims ...

Advantages: Addictive, easy to play, suitable for all ages. Disadvantages: Long loading times.
Before I start this review I'd just like to mention that in order to play this game you need a Nunchuk as well as the Wii remote.
A run down town, no one to build it back up again, residents all but gone. This is how the game starts, you arrive at the town to find it almost empty and in need of a bit of care and attention. Luckily for the town you are a builder, you can breathe new life back into this little town and bring the much needed population ... ...to take care of yourself and create a Sim, there are a ton of options to choose from, from changing the clothes, hair colour and skin tone to changing the sound and tone of the voice. I love messing around with all of the options but if you can't be bothered there is also the option to create a random Sim. Give your Sim and Town a name and you're ready for the off.
The first person you will meet when you enter the town is the mayor, she will show ...

Advantages: Great game play, brilliant graphics and overall fun! Disadvantages: Careful when swinging the wii remote!
Hello I'm writing a review on My Sims!
THE BASICS
-----------------------------------------------------
The My Sims Wii game is really good as its got great graphics and incredible playability!
I think kids and adults will love this game as it is just brilliant.
The idea of the game is fix up a town that is a bit messy looking.
You have to build houses for people and basically make the town look nice so that more people move in.
This game ... ...the intendo Wii.
If you are planning to buy this I would read on.
WHAT DO I GET?
----------------------------------------------------------
You get the game in a box which is of the picture above as you can see it is colourful with some of the characters from My Sims on it.
I think it is very appealing and anyone who loves colourful things would spot that straight away.
You also get a manual telling you what you have to do but you kind of expect ...

Advantages: Very addictive, easy to play, cute characters Disadvantages: There is an end, but then you start again!
...Ive been given MySims for Nintendo DS and I think its really great. Ive played all the other Sims and found them addictive, but this is even better. Its new and updated and very different to the other Sims. The characters are really cool and cute. Its abit like Animal Crossing but better - you move faster, you get goals to complete and there are different levels that you reach. Its really addictive, I have hardly put it down since I got it, totally recommend it to others, its great fun! All my friends are asking for it for christmas! Ive also heard that the Wii version is great too, I'm hopefully getting a Wii for Christmas and I like the MySims game so much Im asking for it for the Wii too!...

Advantages: Good for younger players Disadvantages: Not for older players and replica of animal crossing and havest moon
...This game is diffrent, very diffrent thats what I was worried about as I first bought it. Me beeing a very sims loving person had to by it. When i got it my first reactions were brilliant it looked like an awsome game but then came the glitch. Most sims players are around 12+ but this game seemed better suited for some 6 year olds. So first you plant some flowers and play some racket ball all fun hey? But as i got futher in i realised it was basicly animal crossing wilds world but animal crossing wild world already came out 2 years ago? The thing is animal crossing for ds was a hit wi-fi connection amazing game brillant kept you hooked for months. Then 2 years later came along mysims. My opinion is that if you have to buy mysims don't buy this one buy it for wii get animal crossing instead....

My boyfriend and I eventually gave in and bought ourselves a Wii about 6 months ago. Then, on my birthday back in May, my parents bought me the Wii Fit. Since then, we have used it most evenings and have had an awful lot of fun using it.
