I am not satisfied with this device at all.
- there is NO FAN in device despite the advertised feature on WD website, and the device gets very hot during the operation.
- Gigabit Ethernet connection is very, very slow - just a bit faster than 100Mbit Ethernet.
- USB is not ment to connect MyBook to computer, but rather to attach another external disk (!?)
(this review is actualy for Edition I, not Edition II, i sent it here by mistake. however, given the experience with one-disk model i don't expect this to be much better either)

The ‘Essential Edition’ of the Western Digital MyBook only has USB2.0, which for me, is fine as I can plug it into any computer I wish. Other editions include Firewire, which of course costs more and not all computers support Firewire.
