My Ciao'ing Experience

I was going to save this review for my 100th...It will proberly take me a little longer to reach that mark so I felt like and decided to write this one now.

I first signed up for 'CIAO' on the 26th January 2009, so that's just over 3 years of reviewing. I first found 'ciao' when I was on the yahoo site, I wanted to do something different for a change so I kept typing in review sites in the search engine. I went over to one page then another and soon I found the 'Ciao' site, it was quite quick and easy to sign up and sign in. Before I joined 'Ciao' I've never written reviews before so It was all new to me and I didn't get off to the best of starts. I had to learn what to do and what not to do whilst writing a review, I do regret the way I started out but I did learn from my mistakes.

At the time I was so excited about joining the community, rating reviews, recieving rates from other members...I mucked up my first review. My first review was supposed to be on the pizza hut restaurants...but I did something very silly and I do regret it. Of course...you have to write reviews on your own personal opinion, if you copy from any site or anywhere...its plagiarism! I will hold my hands up and say I did take that one from the wikipedia site and I shouldn't of done that, I know. The members rating on that review knew straight away and kindly gave me some advice, one of them even told me to contact 'Ciao' so they can get that review removed from the site (they didn't want me to start off on Ciao that way).

I had a few ups and downs along the way in the first month or so...But I did get better and better at writing my own reviews. The silly part about it...I've always been very good at writing (at school in English I used to get high marks for my stories...used to write pages and pages) I think at the time when I realised that you could earn money from writing reviews I got a little bit carried away and excited. Looking back then and seeing me now I have improved massively.

I'm so glad the members helped me to see the errors of my ways, the made me see that what I was doing was very wrong. If it weren't for the members giving me advice and putting me straight I proberly would of giving up, but then again I've never really been a quiter. The members helped me get better and gave me the will to write really impressive reviews, I loved the community...there are so, so many wonderful people on this site and I am honoured to be amonst all the 'Ciaoers'.

I have seen so many wonderful reviews and reading the opinions of others have really helped me to choose the right products, try the best places and see things I've never seen before. I do enjoy giving out those E's, the only thing is they run out after you've giving out a certain amount in one day. If i do run out those E's and I still wanna give out any more the first thing I do is leave a message in their guestbook and then write their member name down on a piece of paper so I don't forget who I owe E's to (I come back the next day to rate them).

I haven't really got any personal favourite member on 'Ciao' but I do have to say there are three members reviews I do love really reading....their reviews are brilliantly constructed, extremely well written and I end up coming back to have a second read of them. There thoughts and opinions of those three members really inspired me to write better...I have to admit, reading there reviews gave me a big push so I have to thank them for making me write such good reviews. I bet you're wondering who those three members are that i'm talking about...

BOLLINGER28
AVERILLA
TORR

Two more things I love about there reviews...

1. Quality
2. Style

The whole Ciao community have made me so welcome and i'm so happy to welcome those who have come on here after me. I honestly didn't realise that I would have so many members who trust me, I thank all of u's for trusting in me and wanting me to be part of your circle. At the moment I've reached to the 100 member limit and I heard that you can't add anybody else once you've reached that mark, I would love to add alot more members to my circle and haven't tried adding them just incase it deletes any of my current members from my circle...

I do like the idea of the 'product of the week' but the strange part is...I have only done 'product of the week' once since I've been on here and came second recieving £5 (Dove moisturising cream was the one) I haven't always felt like writing a review on their given products, I have so many other things to write about. I don't remember trying 'current issue' yet, I like the idea of a weekly and monthly competition. At the moment I'm in no hurry to reach my next community level, I reach it when I reach it (I'll just enjoy every level i'm on at the moment)

Not everything on here are rosey, there are certainly things and issues I have with 'Ciao'. I don't like the glitches on here, there have been case's recently where I can rate and can't comment...the comment just don't always stick. Another thing that keeps happening is sometimes I try to read someone's review and the whole pages goes funny so I have to sign out and sign in again and If that don't work I have to try that certain review the next day (I feel it's unfair on members who have taking their time writing the review and I'm unable to read it because of this)

I don't always like too many changes that 'Ciao' make, there always doing some kind of work and always trying to change things around, you get use to one thing and the next they change the page layouts and the system of reviewing. Also, I once wrote a comment on a certain members review and it ended up on that members other one...they say we have 'Ciao' gremlins?...I certainly believe that.

I take a visit to the 'Ciao cafe' now and then, it's good that everythings categorize it gives you an idea of what to write about next and where that certain thing is. My 'Ciaoing' so far has been wonderful, it gives me the experience, the will and the ability to become a great writer and reviewer. 'Ciao' teaches me how to write a massive piece on my experiences and then gives me the chance to share those experiences with other members...I'm glad to have the chance to become better and better at it.

It is nice to see positive feedback my reviews and I really appricate those who do take the time reading, rating / commenting on my reviews. Sometimes I would get floods of rates in a short amount of time and other times I would get the average amount of rates...that how it goes on here sometimes, it depends on how many people are on at the time.

I must admit, when I first started I made those silly little mistakes...but now I've learn't from them and have now become a really good 'Ciao' reviewer thanks to all those members who have given me the helpful advice, the will to keep on here and the ratings, comments etc...and to 'Ciao' who have given me the chance and the opportunity to write in such a wonderful and friendly community. ThankYou to all those who have taken the time reading my review!

Fantastic here is that there is life after copying (fast food = fast review?)! You put your hands up and admitted it, it takes a real man to do that....and yes, as you say yourself, you've come a very long way here! R.
