Advantages: Inspirational Disadvantages: Hard to put down
It certainly was a very sad day when I discovered that Patrick Swayze had lost his battle against cancer, the odds were against him, but I thought that, like in the movies, it might have a happy ending. Sadly that wasn't to be.
I have to admit I did cry and it was mainly for selfish reasons, I felt a part of my youth had died.
Dirty Dancing was a huge hit when I was in my teens the 'nobody puts baby in a corner' line is one that most women my age will always remember. Many a happy time with the girls round, bottle of wine (ok a few bottles) watching Dirty Dancing and Ghost.....ah happy days.

This book in a word is fantastic! The entire story is told day by and each chapter is around the other person. The chapters themselves always finish at a crucial time, making you desperate to find out what has happened. Interspersed in the book are random pages of report cards and library cards of many of the characters in the book and not always about the main two characters. This in turn gives you more of an incite into the characters and also why some of them act the way they do.
This book had me in fits of laughter from start to finish, and I practically ate this book, managing to read it in a day and a half, not once actually wanting to put it down, but mylife unfortunately does sometimes get in the way or else it might have only taken ...

These memories, plus my enjoyment of the two TV programmes she is most famous for, prompted me to want to read her autobiography when it came out late last year. As regular readers of my opinions will know, I am a big reader of autobiographies and although Wendy Richard’s is not the best one I have read, it is certainly worth a look and is a good, easy read.
She seems very open about her life, not as ‘in-yer-face’ as Barbara Windsor but thankfully nowhere near as private as June Whitfield. I found myself easily hearing Wendy speaking the words, even though Lizzie Wiggins has a credit too. I was not surprised by the book, it confirmed my impressions of Wendy and yes, I do like her.
