The NAD C 315 BEE stereo integrated amplifier beat the Cambridge Azur 340A SE when the british magazine hi-fi world put them against one another. The C315 BEE received 5 globes out of 5 (in Jan 2008 issue).
Sound quality is incredible at this price. Performs beyond specs due to Powerdrive-S and Soft Clipping. Great stereo separation. In my opinion this is by far the best stereo amp at this price! Better than Denon 500 PMA and Cambridge 540A SE.
If you want a good amp do yourself a favor and give this a listen. Beware this is a Stereo integrated amp, so there is no surround. Good Bass. Tone Defeat switch so you can bypass the Treble and Bass control circuits if you're not using them. There is also a Balance control but like the Bass and Treble control you probably don't need them. Bass has a slight bloom, not enough to be problematic though.
The Darkness: One Way Ticket to Hell... And Back The C315 delivered excellant detail. Easily delivering enough power for the "heavier" rock passages. Big drums sound good but that may be down to production of the CD. (see the Jurassic Park bit.)
Tina Turner: Simply the best NAD's amp really brings out the strengths of Tina Turners vokals. This is the C315 greatest strength: treble and midtones. Duets sound great due to the great staging of this amp. No bleeding of voices and instruments here.
John Williams: The world of John Williams Classical guitar has never sounded better at this price! Johns guitar sounding crisp and clear. I kept expecting to find some noise but indeed I couldn't. The open and warm sound of the C315 brought vivaldi very close to home. The orchestra sounded like an orchestra and not like a bunch of people crammed into a van.
Jurassic Park soundtrack: Big drums in classical music can sound a little flat on the Jurassic Park soundtrak. The C315 is true to musical performance and does not add any fake effects like virtual surround.
The NAD C315 does not add anything to the sound of the recordings. There are no virtual surround or church, disco hall etc modes. No fancy lights or features on the display - mainly because there isn't one.
Has a Tape loop. Inputs: CD, Video, Disc, Tuner, Tape, Aux and Media Device. Headphone jack. No Phonogram (record player) input. This means that if you want to play LP's you will need a phono stage. No digital or optical connections.
Comes with remote NAD AMP 1 that can also control a NAD CD player.
This amp is fantastic with very low distortion for an amp at this price level!

These are NAD's specification figures. True to NAD's style they are very likely to be conservative. I can't give you the amazing specifications that hifi world measured at their lab but you check them out here:
