The fact that the NAD does not have a huge wattage per chanel does not mean that the NAD is left wanting for power. Despite the fairly low wattage, this is a very conservative rating and this is apparent when used on any sensitive speaker. T
The volume dial can be turned up to high volumes without any audible adverse reactions. The amplifier is able to stay in control of the music without introducing any kind of distortion into the sonics. This NAD is an excellent amplifier to compliment any kind of bass heavy music as the low end frequencies have quite some kick, which allows the bass to resonate with a deep thud but is more than tuneful to break through the detail in the bass notes.
The midrange is open and expansive and very impressive. This is particularly commendable when you consider the relatively cheap prices of this amp. Vocals are produced with a genuine timbre and the highs and lows of the voice can really be felt and appreciated. Which means that while providing some bass kick to bass heavy genres, it also partners well with the more softer vocally driven genres.
It will even do a good job when paired with not just just bookshelf speakers but also floorstander speakers. Which makes it's price all the more attractive as it's not left starving for power even with an additional driver brought into the picture.
There are plenty of audio inputs allowing to connect lots of external devices to the amplifier but unfortunately for those who like listening to vinyl, there is no phono input, this will mean purchasing a phono stage separately. This is not an issue for me as I listen to music solely from cd could be to some fans.
Advantages: controlled Bass, plaenty of power, soft clipping handy Disadvantages: some newer amps out now.
I bought my NAD C320 integrated amplifier last year and it has brought me nothing but joy. It handles all types of music from the likes of eminem to the theme from Star Trek Voyager (OK I'm sad I know) with aplomb. Bass is wonderful, it never sounds uncontrolled or annoying the way some mini systems sound when they have the bass cranked up. The midrange is very expressive and it separates instruments from each other so you can easily distinguish ... ...you crank the volume. But NAD has thought of that and given us a lovely little feature called soft clipping, which tones down the harshness of sounds when the amp has hit it's power limit (40 watts, although I would say it sounds more powerful than that) to protect both your ears and your speakers. But what are you doing playing it that loud anyways? there is plenty of volume to satisfy the home clubber, so long as it's matched with sensitive speakers. ...

Quick review of NAD C 320
This was my first "proper" Hi-Fi amplifier. I've had it now for about 3 years and it has been flawless. I bought mine for about £210 , it's a good introduction to real Hi Fi components.
I drive my 80's KEF speakers (8ohms), the bass is solid and the treble is clear. I play mainly rock/heavy metal music but on occasions I listen to classical (the strings sound great) , and even fewer occasions I'll play some R&B to enjoy the solid bass.
Recommend. ...

Advantages: small, good bass, crisp treble, good integration between units, involving sound Disadvantages: none at all.
I bought my Kefs a year ago now, and to be honest when I got them out of their packaging I expected them to be a lot bigger than they actually were, and I was dissappointed, but only till I got them playing.
Hooked up to my NADC320 amp these little Kefs sound really, really good for speakers of their price and size (150 quid) and on closer inspection the build of them is excellent, Kef employing the use of chamfered edges on the corners of the cabinet to minimise the distortins introduced by the box shape that they are built into, and boy does it work!
The Kefs use a 13cm long throw mid/bass driver and a soft dome tweeter which integrate well and produce a soundstage that I wouldn't have expected for speakers that cost as little as these. The long throw mid/bass driver comes into it's own when pounding out the incredibly low ...
