Advantages: Powerdrive-S technology, No genre preference, Great sound quality, Very low distortion Disadvantages: no phonogram (record player) input
...The NADC 315 BEE stereo integrated amplifier beat the Cambridge Azur 340A SE when the british magazine hi-fi world put them against one another. The C315 BEE received 5 globes out of 5 (in Jan 2008 issue).
Sound quality is incredible at this price. Performs beyond specs due to Powerdrive-S and Soft Clipping. Great stereo separation. In my opinion this is by far the best stereo amp at this price! Better than Denon 500 PMA and Cambridge 540A SE.
If you want a good amp do yourself a favor and give this a listen. Beware this is a Stereo integrated amp, so there is no surround. Good Bass. Tone Defeat switch so you can bypass the Treble and Bass control circuits if you're not using them. There is also a Balance control but like the Bass and Treble control you probably don't need them. Bass has a slight bloom, not enough...

Advantages: Very revealing low cost c.d. player. For the money it's a steal. Disadvantages: doesn't like shody c.d.s so look after them, for programing tracks you need the optional remote.
...I have owned this NADC540 c.d. player for almost 10 years now and have to say I have been very happy with my choice. The c.d. player is feeding a decent Cambridge Audio pre/power amp system with two power amps feeding a pair of Mission floor standing speakers. It is a pretty revealing set up with good sound staging.
When I started using this c.d. player, replacing an old Technics c.d. player, the improvement was a revelation. I was suddenly able to identify new instruments on some of my favourite music and the stereo imaging was superb! It never seemed to run out of steam either proving to be a joy to listen to.
Only crticism is it doesn't like scuffed or poor quality recorded discs and tends to jump with them.
For the money, buy with confidence!

Advantages: Bags of power, build quality, sound quality Disadvantages: Bland styling
...I purchased this amp 6 years ago for £270 along with the Arcam Alpha 7SE and a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers.
As the C320's bigger brother, the C340 comes with the same impedance-sensing circuitry and an extra 10 watts of power on tap. So basically this amp will run any pair of speakers under a grand with minimal effort.
Its not a looker this one, all the money is spent on the internals. No fancy lights or polished aluminium here, but the build quality is exellent, its built like a battleship and shares the same dull gray colour as one. A remote is included with all basic functions but you cant switch the unit on or off from it.
If you can put up with dull styling in return for the sound quality you get with from the C340 your in for a treat. It has a spacious, open soundstage and great stereo imaging. You can place individual...
