An A/V receiver with the WOW factor

Advantages: Looks great, sounds awesome, feels awesome
Disadvantages: Detailed set up can be tricky - just as well it comes idiot proof!

Ok then, so I'm a lucky boy.... On my last birthday my wife decided that she wanted to treat me to a home cinema system so off we went to our local Richer Sounds store (they are VERY cheap and VERY helpful - recommended everyone pays them a visit!) with cash in hand an wangled a deal. I got this Marantz A/V Receiver , A Yamaha surround sound speaker package and a Panasonic DVD recorder for the princly sum of £350 - a bit of a discount from the £900 RRP! I'll be reviewing each product in turn so check out my other reviews if you want a full system checkup! So into the review of the A/V Receiver: 1) The Theory I wanted a reciever that not only looked good, but that also provided the output and poer to match. I've long been a fan of the Marantz range as they not only look and feel good to use, they also have the reputation ...

Natural Nad's!

Advantages: Natural ingredients and cotton backing strips
Disadvantages: Little bit expensive for the amount of product you receive

Nad's Facial Wand Kit I bought this seemingly miraculous product from Boots a little while ago in a hope to make annoying hair removal that bit easier. I've had mixed results from this product but will try to include them all. Product Appearance: Firstly, I want to commend the developers on their discreet packaging technique. The packaging simply says 'Nad's Facial Wand', nothing overly obvious like the Boots Expert range packaging. This could be for wrinkles as far as any other shoppers know. The wand is seemingly small and features a small twisty bottom to release the wax. It's a transparent green colour and has a slanted edge at the top where the wax comes out of the tube for precise application. In the kit you receive: * 6g Nad's Natural Hair Removal Gel in Slimline Wand. * 4 Nad's Cleansing Wipes. * 10 Backing ...

NAD C315 BEE

Advantages: Powerdrive-S technology, No genre preference, Great sound quality, Very low distortion
Disadvantages: no phonogram (record player) input

The NAD C 315 BEE stereo integrated amplifier beat the Cambridge Azur 340A SE when the british magazine hi-fi world put them against one another. The C315 BEE received 5 globes out of 5 (in Jan 2008 issue). Sound quality is incredible at this price. Performs beyond specs due to Powerdrive-S and Soft Clipping. Great stereo separation. In my opinion this is by far the best stereo amp at this price! Better than Denon 500 PMA and Cambridge 540A SE. If you want a good amp do yourself a favor and give this a listen. Beware this is a Stereo integrated amp, so there is no surround. Good Bass. Tone Defeat switch so you can bypass the Treble and Bass control circuits if you're not using them. There is also a Balance control but like the Bass and Treble control you probably don't need them. Bass has a slight bloom, not enough to be ...
