Nando's, Soho, London

I usually adore Nando's and we had visited this particular branch in the heart of Soho several years ago. The most recent occasion was quite late on a Friday lunchtime which, although not an ideal time for a relaxing bite to eat, gave no foreboding of the real -life Fawlty Towers experience we were to encounter. Nando's is effectively a fast food chain that originated in Portugal and now has chains throughout England. They are hard to miss in London with chains on many high streets. The way it works is simple. You take a seat and get a menu. You take note of your table number. You choose what you want and go up to the counter and order and pay. Take your seat again and your food will be bought to you. In most instances, Nando's works very efficiently and this branch was no exception.
