TomTom Wireless GPS Receiver 20 channel GPS receiver module

Advantages: good
Disadvantages: none

I dont have a 20 channel receiver however I do have a 12 channel receiver which came in the box with my Tom Tom Navigator 5 for PDA, whichi I use in my Treo 680 Smart Phone. The whole thing works perfectly and I couldn't ask for more as Sat Nav goes. The GPS receiver looks identical to the 20 channel one shown here and if this one works as well as mine does then you can't go wrong. It does link ...

GPS the no frills approach

Advantages: Cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: Build quality an issue

I have had no problem in setting up both TOMTOM and Navman software with both of them easily recognising the receiver. The power usage is very low for this product and I have seen less than a 10 % reduction in the running time for my IPAQ PDA when using the receiver which is very impressive. So no problems with performance and use and well worth the low price tag. ***** Summary ***** A fantastic product that performs well and is very user friendly and reliable. These types of units are becoming a bit obsolete now with better performing Bluetooth units but you ...
