Advantages: Brilliant PDA and camera Disadvantages: camera often unusable due to poor battery life
I bought my NZ90 as a second user as this device is grossly expensive if you may not utilise it to the full. I really fancied a reasonably decent digital camera and PDA functionality. I would have preferred a handheld PC but they do not seem to be available with the camera.
I bought this unit knowing it was described as the most cumbersome in the Clie range. You cannot have everything, and its size is a compromise. I also wanted the intergrated keypad.
The camera has no viewfinder, but I can promise you, it has produced a brilliant 10x8 ins indoor picture and I am more than happy with the resolution, no graininess whatsoever. The downside is you really need an extra battery pack or two. An original slot in one would set you back around £60 but there are expansion packs available.

I never thought I would make the case for a palm handheld from 3com. I used to be a dedicated Ipaq fan but got increasingly disappointed with it. So I decided to take a bold step and try out the new PalmTungsten. In one word: AMAZING! I will compare, wherever possible the Tungsten with the Ipaq. Note that I am comparing the new Tungsten with my previously owned Ipaq 3850.

Look and feel
I always found the Ipaq sexy, but it is still a bit bulky. The Palm is not much lighter (6.2 oz vs 5.6 oz for the palm), but much smaller (length 4'' vs 5'' for the Ipaq). This is due to the fact that the bottom slides open to reveal the grafiti writing area. The garfite colored aluminium casing feels much more sturdy than the aluminium looking, though plastic ...

Advantages: Slim, large screen, portable, sexy, like a super model turned into a PDA Disadvantages: Battery life, ugly interface, sounds like a dying giraffe sometimes
constantly it's 3 hours, that's very dissapointing since the Palm is not that fast. I am glad it's not a pacemaker.
So flaws aside what can this piece of technology do? Well you can view your pictures with it, you can edit your Office Word/Excel/Powerpoint files on it, listen to MP3s, watch videos, take quick notes, organise your day, surf the internet (when it has internet access) and read ebooks with it. All this straight out of the box without purchasing extra software. There are also games on the device and emulators that let you play console games i.e. Gameboy Advance, so that's very tempting (you must own game to be legally allowed to play it on the Palm) but they will need downloading or purchasing. This device really is a mini box of tricks, I actually wrote this review on my Tungsten E before uploading it here. Not to shabby don't you ...
