    With the NBA playoffs better than ever we look at the number 1 basketball game franchise NBA 2k. This installment is NBA 2K11 the newest on the market. NBA 2K started in 1999 with Allen Iverson gracing the cover. The game was critically acclaimed but could not compare with the likes NBA Live a series that had been already established and the preferred game with great gameplay.     I have been into basketball for longer than i can remember and consider myself a fan,player,historian so i know exactly what i want from a game of this type and nba 2k11 delivers pretty highly on all fronts with the graphics, gameplay and enjoyment you get from this game pouring in. I was always more into the nba live series from which i owned from 97,98,99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06,and 09 but i owned nba 2k7 and 8. I must point out that everything up to 06 was on a ps2 so due to the usual 64bit graphics you had to expect improvement but i found even on the ps2 the 2k series had more of a power ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good for basketball fans, old teams are nostalgic, multiplayer is amazing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to get to grips with if you don't follow basketball and know the rules.

    As a basketball player for my University team, the NBA games have always been a way to kick back with the guys and a few beers for a night. I have always loved the multi-player aspect, performing those gravity defying feats that I am just not able to replicate on the real court. NBA 2K11 is no exception to this, at least once a week you will find a few of the guys round setting up competitions and passing the night playing it.     Advantages Advantages Great graphics, great audio and great gameplay

    Jam packed with stars like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and of course, the all time great, Michael Jordan! When I first heard of NBA 2K11, I was like, same old, just different rosters but my friend let me try it out on the X-Box, I was immediately hooked to it, so after that, it became a weekly habit. You SHOULD, and I mean SHOULD try it out. But for other people, it might seem different but we all have opinion. I think that all of the advantages combined will definitely make a great game.     Advantages Advantages fun game, good integration of the legends (michael jordan, larry bird, etc)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages online gameplay is poor, bad 3 point contest and dunk contest

    This fun basketball game is worth the money. It is great when playing against a friend that is next to you. The graphics are good; the commentary gets boring over time, same old same old. I really like all the jersey options that they make available for every team. 2K Sports did a good job with integrating the new rookies, and the game is very realistic. In my opinion, the online play is the worst part of the game. It does a bad job of telling you your win/loss record, who you played, etc. Overall, NBA 2K11 will give you countless hours of fun playing with your favorite teams and players ... more
