Advantages Great Image Quality

Disadvantages Hard to use the monitor buttons

Haven't done a review in ages, and I feel a bit rusty at this! A good oil-ing and off I go....

As an early christmas present my Mum offered to buy me any thing I wanted. Well I thought the clothes could wait for a bit and I know I'm getting my I-pod. So as I was roaming the internet for what I wanted, I realised I wasn't very succesful, I looked at my screen hard and thought "I KNOW," I want a new computer screen. It was an odd request but I was explaining to my Mum all the flashy ones you get nowadays, I was browsing through the dixons catalogues but decided to go to comet instead because there was a christmas sale.

I wanted something silver, something flat/slim and something attractive, also something reasonably big! Well it was good I stumbled across the... (wait one sec, I have to grab the manual because I can't remember the name!!!) ooh yes it's called NEC MultiSync LCD1960NXi. I know it's a bit of a mouthful!
Well I got it yesterday, from comet, and I thought the price was alright at £330, but I found that similar ones to it were more cheaper.

As soon as I got home with my big package, opened it up and started unplugging plugs from my very small, dusty, dull grey coloured monitor and switching them. To my flash new screen.

I was anticipating for the moment of when the computer would start up. It finally showed me my user and I was amazed at it's quality. It actually made a difference. I did notice however the colour was just a bit too bright and me spending those nights with my eyes wizzing around on pages on the internet, I needed a less bright colour.
Here was a problem, I found it hard to change the colour with the front control panel. In the end I found that it was easier to control it with your keyboard!

The screen size is 19" and you can tilt swivel and adjust it's height. It weighs 17.6 pounds which I do not think is too much.

A disadvantage is that unfortunatly there is no data cable included.

Why would you pay such a price for an LCD monitor? To get an excellent image on a screen that comes with useful features from a major brand that supports its products. And that's what the NEC MultiSync LCD1960NXi from NEC-Mitsubishi delivers.

I really do think it's fab!
