Advantages: looks attractive...
Disadvantages: ..which is no good if the phone keeps breaking

...After dicovering that the battery clip was a manufacturing fault, I decided to take up the problem with NEC who told me that the fault was nothing to do with them, but to do with my network provider. My network provider told me to contact my manufacturer, and on it went. Even though my phone is under 1 years gaurantee, NEC will not replace the phone. However, i do know of a friend who had his phone updated by NEC after frequent complaints, and a letter to head office, so dont give up hope.... Read review

Advantages: cheap handset, has all necessary options:e-mail, photo, video, SMS, MMS. Is good size
Disadvantages: doesn't have real sound ringtones (only polyphonic) and no front screen

...I got the NEC 338 because I lost my LGU880 & it was on contract and not insured. The NEC 338 was the only 3 mobile that was reasonably priced and reasonably functional or aesthetically pleasing. I am very pleased with it. The phone is small enough to fit in all pockets easily and leave room for other things. It has a big screen. Sadly the keys are on the small side but still easy to use for texting (I do about 10 words every 12secs). Layout is very self explanitory. The Camera is quite good quality (nothing too special) but has a good zoom and the Video works well too. It looks very sleak when closed and open but the price you pay for that is that when its closed unlike most flip-phones there is no outside sceen to tell the time and/or show if any messages have arrived or who is calling.... ...the nec db2000 is the replacement model for nec g9 which I used to own. The g9 was an excellent phone, but the db2000 has just got better. the phone is very slim and lightweight, is very easy to use and has many extra features such as vibrating alert, 20 ringtones whereby you can allocate different tones to 20 entries in your phonebook so know you know who is calling just by the tune of the ringer!. The phone is usually supplied with a 0ne2one contract, but I bought mine off an auction web site and use it with vodafone (phone is dual band) to find out more about the phone copy and paste this url www.nec-db2000.com where you can find out every possibble detail about the phone including the option to listen to the different ring tones!...
