Advantages: Cheap, powerful, awesome overclocking Disadvantages: Fairly small cache
...I was looking for a low budget chip for a new computer, with decent overclockability, and after looking around, chose the E2140.
The E2140 really is a great chip, whether its for a basic computer or powerful gaming machine, it can suit most peoples needs!
At stock speeds, there is plenty of power for most daily tasks, which is great from a CPU that costs just £45, considering you can pay in excess of £500 for a processor.
As well as performing well at stock, the E2140 overclocks very well - I managed to reach 3Ghz, on standard volts and cooling. This is an awesome overclocker, and very easy too.
Overall, I would recommend this to just about anyone looking to build a fairly low budget PC. It offers great value for money, and with a little tweaking, it's power can nearly be doubled!...

...pentiumdualcore is based on a 64-bit allendale processors targeted at mobile or desktop computers respectively.
intel wanted to bring back the pentium brand again to the market after its huge success. the first processores of dualcore came in notebooks in 2007. these processors pentium t2060, t2080 and t2130 had the 32bit pentium-m core, and was the initial poineers of core duo. the pentiumdual-core was developed at the request of notebooks/laptops companies.
intel then realeased desktop pentiumdual-core. these processors support intel64 extensions, based on the 64bit allendale core.
the core brand is intels 32it dual-core cpu's the come's from pentium m brand processors, microarchitecture whih is a combination of intel p6 and core microarchitecture of the new core2 cpu's. the core brand first released the 32bit yonah core cpu...

Advantages: High Performance, Dual Core at a cheap price Disadvantages: none as of yet
...I purchased this processor as a cheap temporary cpu for my htpc (home theatre pc).
And i have to say it is alot better than i first hoped, although this has quite a slow speed rating (1.6GHz) compared to some of the cpu's available today. this more than outperforms nearly every previous generation processors that came before it!
i managed to speed this processor up to 2.4GHz just by raising the FSB in my computers BIOS making it exceptional value for money!
Highly advised if you know your way around a computer BIOS.
This cpu also runs at some very low temps i am using this in my HTPC passively cooled (no fan) using a third party heatsink and it is only producing temps in the low 30s. And because it is being run with no fan it is 100% quiet.
I would recommend this processor to anyone planning on building a budget pc or a quiet HTPC....
