Advantages: it has dual channel and it is pretty fast
Disadvantages: the sempron 2800+ it's better for gaming

...Ok! so we are going to do a little comparison betwen sempron 2800+ and celron D335. They bouth have difrent dets of instruction for example celeron D has MMX ,SSE ,SSE2 ,SSE 3 and Sempron has MMX and 3D now. OK so let's see the difrences : Amd Sempron has 3DNow! technology wich will allow for a faster frame rate, smoother graphics and higher detail in our animation,so it is batter for games; The SSE instructions In Celeron D allows for complex arithmetics and some graphics capabilities but wich aren't as efective as the 3DNow!'s technology capabilities.So in the end Celeron is better for raw computing power , and Sempron for gammers.But let's analyse it some more.Celeron D has a 533 Bus wich allows dual channel memory and sempron has 333 bus with single channel memory.otherwise they have the same L2 cache of 256Kb ,Celeron has L1 of 28kb... Advantages: Incredibly cheap, reliable CPU

...The Sempron 3000+, now a lower end, low cost CPU. Is it still worth buying? In short, yes. I have just this week purchased a new PC, decided on the socket AM2 sempron3000+. So far, so very, very good. This is a chip that impresses, at around £35, you'd expect a budget, just about usable chip. This is far from reality, running XP professional edition is no longer a hair-loss inducing experience, and even better, I no longer get horrible skips and jumps and pauses through music and video. For the overclockers, this is a recommended buy. We all know overclocking can be a risky business, but at this price, it really doesn't matter if you do need a new one. As far as overclocking goes, I've seen this chip OC at 50%, and heard it can run stable at more. Buying an AM2 mainboard for your new chip will also make life much easier... Read review

Advantages: Good value for money, Can take a lot of stress, doesn't warm us as much as other processors
Disadvantages: Not a very high Clock speed

...I have recently up graded from an old Pentium 4 (@1.4ghz) And I will never turn back, The Pentium 4 I was using is slow, old and gets very hot under stress. Since I bought the Sempron, my computer core temperature has not reached over 50 degrees Celsius. This is good because it keeps it good and stable. The Pentium 4 which I used to use would become unstable because it would over heat (by the way, I have only had to replace the mother board as well, all my cooling equipment has stayed the same). The installation of the Sempron is about the same as every other processor in the world, it helps to know what you are doing, or get a professional to do it for you. If you know what you are doing then it should only take around 10 minuets to put in, depend on the ease of access to your motherboard. A computer shop (such as PC world), should... Read review
