NETGEAR DG632B ADSL Modem Router - router

...The Netgear DG834PN is the latest version of the DG834 and combines an ADSL modem with a wireless router and 4 port switch. In plain English, this plugs in your phone socket and allows one or more PCs to share the connection via either a wired or wireless link. The modem part is ADSL2+ ready and should work with even the fastest ISP offerings out there which as at Dec 2006 are around 12mbps in the UK. The setup wizard worked flawlessly and apart from the username and password, worked everything else out for itself and had the DG834PN up and running in a couple of minutes. As with most similar devices, further configuration is done via a web interface. The wireless section supports 802.11b and 802.11g as well as Netgear's own 802.11 Super G variant offering 108Mbps. Advantages: Great stable router with great range and speed

...Picking a router is pretty difficult these days. There are an awful lot of routers out there and it is very, very difficult to choose the right one for you. The obvious things to consider are • Price • Ease of use/Ease of set up • Speed • Range • After sales support The more technical would also consider the functionality offered. The DG834N ticks the right boxes in each of these areas. Out of the box the router looks rather sleek. It's a white box roughly the same size of a hardback book. Some yellowish flashing lights at the front inform you whether the router is switched on, whether it's connected to the internet, and whether it is transmitting a wireless signal. Advantages: Connection speed is really good and range is quite wonderful
Disadvantages: Sometimes gets disconnected

...I have used Netgear router and based on my experience i can say that performance wise its really good. There are some problems like connection gets disconnected sometimes but that happens because of other frequencies as well, so if you configure your router in a good way, it really gives you a great output.
