    Advantages Advantages Easy to setup and manage

    I purchased one of these combined ADSL modem, routers and wireless access point as I wanted the flexibility to be able to get a internet connection anywhere in my flat. I didn't want to have a router/modem and a seperate wireless access point. I brought the router as part of a bundle with a MA401 pcimca wireless card, I think the bundle was £150 but it was a while ago. The router is the 11mbps wireless which is fine for a broadband internet connection as these are normally less than 2mbps.     I can heartily recommend the NG824M. Mine was setup within about 1/2 hr. Barring a slight glitch on the Broadband configuration (which was a typo - my fault) I've not had any problems since. The unit itself is sleek and silver - not out of place even in a living room and comes with everything you need to kick off. (Cables, splitter etc...) One tip - make sure you have a PC with a wired network connection to hand to configure it. The wireless antenna is disabled by default so you'll need it. Also, it's worth upgrading the firmware once you are connected - this takes about 2 minutes and is all ... more
