This is going to be short as, to be honest, I'm struggling to think about what I can write about it. I'll stick to personal experience and usage but as it's been so problem free, I think I'll struggle there as well.
Looks ------- The router is sleek and minimalist. White in colour, it a has a row of flashing icon leds along the front to show what's working and what mightn't be. There is a small, stubby aerial on the back which is multi-directional.
Setup ------
The router was bought of ebay for about 35 quid 2 years ago or thereabouts. I bought it simply because AOL would support it and I needed back-up if anything went amiss. The installation process was done via the AOL software so I didn't have to do anything at all and it worked with ease first time. And kept working.
However, I'm a tinkerer and when we've had to set up different laptops on the wireless network and needed WEP keys etc etc the routers diagnostics/set up software has always given me the info I've needed through its rather dull but efficient interface.
Reliability ------------ Never once had a problem with it. The range is well beyond the reaches of our fence and we get connection all over the property even though the router is downstairs, which isn't the best place for them. Due to small hands fiddling, the part where the aerial screws onto the base has become cracked but isn't effecting anything.
Connections -------------- The router transmits at 54Mbps. There is no significant differe Apart from the wireless connection, there are also 4 ethernet ports to wire computers directly. There is no significant differerence on the conection speed between wireless and wired. The phoneline plugs in the back as does the power cable. The router is compatible with 802.11b wireless networks. And, er.... That's it. I'm starting to bore myself.
Current cost, about £40 (on Amazon for instance)
