Advantages: good when finally installed Disadvantages: hard to install
I admit my computer knowledge is limited but I was led to believe this was an easy product to install on my home computer. I thought the instructions seemed easy to follow but when steps didn't go to plan I became stuck and confused.
Next steps I phoned thecustomer helpline and was greeted with questions I didn't know the answer to and probally wouldn't have unless I had a degree in computing.
All I can say is what a waste of my time ... ...resulted in asking a good friend that works within the computer industry to come and help install the router. They said this wasn't an uncommon problem but does need improvement for everyday people to use.
Now it is finally installed properly I have a working home network and haven't come across too many problems. ... more

Quick review of NETGEAR DGN2000 - wireless router
Impossible to connect, internet LED is always red.
I tried 2 different DGN2000, same problem.
I also have a DG834, DG834G, Netopia 3344 and they're all working fine.
I am not a beginner and I know exactly all the parameters, they're all the same on all my modems.
Perhaps it's a compatibility issue with ADSL in Switzerland?
The product seems very good but if it's not working it's definitely not the one I would recommend! ...
