All I can say is what a waste of my time ... ...resulted in asking a good friend that works within the computer industry to come and help install the router. They said this wasn't an uncommon problem but does need improvement for everyday people to use.
Now it is finally installed properly I have a working home network and haven't come across too many problems. ... more

I resulted in asking a good friend that works within the computer industry to come and help install the router. They said this wasn't an uncommon problem but does need improvement for everyday people to use.
Now it is finally installed properly I have a working home network and haven't come across too many problems.

Quick review of NETGEAR DGN2000 - wireless router
Impossible to connect, internet LED is always red.
I tried 2 different DGN2000, same problem.
I also have a DG834, DG834G, Netopia 3344 and they're all working fine.
I am not a beginner and I know exactly all the parameters, they're all the same on all my modems.
Perhaps it's a compatibility issue with ADSL in Switzerland?
The product seems very good but if it's not working it's definitely not the one I would recommend! ...

THIS IS A DECENT PEICE OF TECHNOLOGY, VERY FAST BROADBAND, BUT PROBLEMS WHEN TRANSFERING MY FILES THROUGH MY INFARED. IT WILL DISCONNECT FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN CONNECT AGAIN. STRANGE. ...
