I bought this to use with my Netgear DG834G router and I must say it's excellent. Not only can I use it on my laptop but as it's usb on desktop computers as well. This makes it handy when I have other people round with there computers I can connect them to my network and give them internet access.
It can do 11mbps and 54mbps and will work on USB 1 but slower.
It comes with a usb extension cable so it can be positioned for best signal. You also get the Netgear version on Wireless conectivity software which you can use instead of the Windows version which is much better, with the Netgear software I picked up a few networks in my areas where as the Windows version only picked up the one.
