Advantages: Really good fun (even if you aren't a hockey fan), easy controls, great value Disadvantages: The graphics aren't as good as they could be
This game is great fun! Im not a hockey fan but got the game free with my ps3 (and you can get it for around £20 now) and its really entertaining, even if, like me, you don't know much about ice hockey. The graphics on the game are good, they're not outstanding for PS3 but still are better than some PS3 games. The game runs at 720p resolution, which isnt as much as the 1080p full HD resolution that some games offer, but this is still a HD mode and ... ...a difference on bigger screens).
The controls are good and quite easy to get used to, and for the gaolie control you can use the sixaxis, this is good fun as it makes the game more "interactive" and it involves tilting the controller to the direction needed in order to stop the puck. There are also advanced controls for peopel who are more advanced in the game, I haven't used these yet.
There is a season mode and there are also many unlockables ...
