Advantages: Fantastic service, well looked after, prompt and efficient staff
Disadvantages: Had to wait for a bit, but not as long as I was expecting!

...all times. I know I certainly was. ~*CONCLUSION*~ Overall, despite not being allowed to weight bear and having to go back tomorrow, the service I received was really very good. The NHS has such a formidable reputation, but the service I received today was second to none! ...

walk in centre - Blackpool

Advantages: open out of hours with highly trained nurses and no appointment needed
Disadvantages: no xray facilities and no parking

I HAVE HAD REASON TO ATTEND THE BLACKPOOL WALK IN CENTRE ON MANY OCCASIONS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT. THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF ARE VERY .FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. YOU ARE ASSESSED ON ARRIVAL BY A TRIAGE NURSE AND IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO TREAT YOUR PROBLEM THEY WILL REDIRECT YOU TO THE RIGHT SERVICE. THERE ARE NO DOCTORS AT THE CENTRE, LIKE REPORTED BY ANOTHER MEMBER IN THERE REVIEW!! BUT THE NURSES DO A FANTASTIC JOB.!! THE PARKING ...

Yet another complete waste of tax payers money!

Advantages: Open alot of the rime
Disadvantages: They won't do anything for you

...my experience of my local NHS walk-in centre (Blackpool), so I thought I'd let you all know how utterly atrociously I have been treated at all times by them, and how I would rather suffer than visit one ever again. Visit 1 - My partner's torn ligament in his knee My partner woke up one morning to a strange pain in his knee, where he noticed a huge bruise so we rushed him to casualty and got him x-rayed etc as he hadn;t banged his knee on anything, ...
...surgery for blood tests, and I wait until I can get an appointment to get my ears syringed. Never again will I waste any more of my time in the NHS walk-in centre. Ignore the rating options, as this is not a website, but a building. ...

NHS Walk in Center - good or bad ?

Advantages: No appointment necessary and is open til late at night
Disadvantages: Don't have much equipment therefore can't xray etc and sometimes can give wrong diagnosis!

...So how can a trained NHS nurse have gotten the diagnosis so wrong even with the evidence of the problem sat right in front of him in a cup of urine? (sorry for my bluntness) I'm not entirely sure but in my opinion, it isn't very comforting. My local center - Blackpool. Putting the bad experience aside, are these centers any good? Well on the few occasions I have been the staff are normally helpful and friendly (atleast as helpful as they can be). ...
...machine. My local NHS center was actually the place I learnt I was pregnant early this year and the nurse who saw me was friendly and didn't seem to judge although after telling me I was pregnant she didn't offer any support either she just seemed to want me out asap so she could get onto the next patient. I was in complete shock and a bawling dribbling mess yet all she could do was open the door and see me out ... hmm. Summary of what I personally ...
