    Advantages Advantages Amen's stage show literally Rock's, JJ72's sound

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Alfie are rubbish, you get crushed in small venues

    The 2001 NME Carling Awards show kicked off in Scotland and last night came to Sheffield University showcasing the latest talent of up-and-coming bands. I had bought my tickets weeks before and was ready to have a good night- and I was disappointed but in a way I had not expected. I was anticipating a good night of four bands as it had been organised by NME. Held inside the Sheffield Union building, I like the venue and the stage gives you ample room to see your favourite artists.
