Advantages Free calls and friendly staff

Disadvantages none

When i bought my first house money was tight and saving every lttle helps. Laying on the door mat with all the other mail was a card from NTL offering me free connection, tv and phone line for £9.95 a month. After talking with a family and friends i decided to call NTL to inquire. I got through fairly quickly and spoke to a very friendly lady indeed. This was one of the things that swayed me to join them. A installation time was arranged and they duely arrived on the said day.
Two men arrived and were very friendly and only took a hour to finish and this included cleaning there mess. I was promised free calls to any other NTL user after 18:00 hours. So i thought i would put it to the test and i used the phone extensively in the first month. Anyone with an NTL phone usually got a call from me in that month. True to there word i still to this day don't get charged for phone other NTL users.
I have been with NTL for over 2 years now and i have found no problems with them. I have had a few follow up calls from them,(probably trying to sell me something else). As for there internet service. I have heard alot of people complaining that they get cut off after 2 hours and maybe the connection speed isn't as quick as some, but as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". NTL's service is free!. If you want better sservice pay for it and leave it to the people who are happy with it. It will mean quicker connection speed if everyone leaves.

Hi, good op. Could have been a bit more specific and spaced your subjects out more. Just so you know, NTL only give free calls to NTL phones within your local area and charge 4.9p connection fee for each one. The old free internet service cut you off after 2 hours as a way of saving money in case you left it on over night as accident. Also you may be aware, its not free any longer, as many other companies charge so now do NTL. I won't stick up for them because unfortunately they do have a habit of making a mess of things but I believe their hearts are the right place! Matty x

I too love NTL. The TV and phone is not available in our area, but we can still use NTL as our ISP and for phone calls by using an adaptor on the phone line. I pay £15 a month but they give me £15 worth of phone call credits so in effect I pay nothing to use the internet. Like you, I find the connection fine. Jo
