Nad's Facial Wand Kit
I bought this seemingly miraculous product from Boots a little while ago in a hope to make annoying hair removal that bit easier. I've had mixed results from this product but will try to include them all.
Product Appearance:
Firstly, I want to commend the developers on their discreet packaging technique. The packaging simply says 'Nad's Facial Wand', nothing overly obvious like the Boots Expert range packaging. This could be for wrinkles as far as any other shoppers know. The wand is seemingly small and features a small twisty bottom to release the wax. It's a transparent green colour and has a slanted edge at the top where the wax comes out of the tube for precise application. In the kit you receive:
6g Nad's Natural Hair Removal Gel in Slimline Wand.
4 Nad's Cleansing Wipes.
10 Backing Strips.
Instruction Leaflet.
Using The Product:
There are 3 steps which should be followed for best results:
Clean with provided cleansing wipes and dry completely.
Slowly apply gel in direction of hair growth.
Firmly smooth strip on and quickly remove, holding skin taut.
It's as simple as that. I followed the instructions, as I always do and probably managed to remove 80% of the hair on my upper lip. The longer hairs came out easier than the shorter hairs which I then had to pluck out. The product is natural so there is no irritation or inflammation which is great. It's also not sticky like all of the other wax based products, the wax is easily washed from skin with warm water and the backing strips are also cleaned superbly with warm water, too.
Product History
Nad's was founded by Sue Ismiel in 1992, Australia. The products developed by Nad's contain only 100% natural ingredients, and the original concoction was developed with ingredients from Sue Ismiel's own kitchen.
Conclusion:
If you don't mind letting your hair grow that little bit longer then I would definitely recommend. For £9.99, you don't really get a lot of product for your pennies, but it's quality materials and natural ingredients, it's worth forking out the extra few pounds on something good for you and your body. Thanks for reading, Sephs.
Being an avid follower of shopping channels on Sky Digital, whilst idly channel-flicking a few Saturdays ago I saw an advert for a Natural Wax Hair Removal product called Nad's.
I ordered my Nad's from the company Natural and Alternative Discoveries and got in my starter kit:
350g Nad's Hair Removal Gel
Spatula
4 cotton strips
1 x Nadsfacial hair removal wandkit
all for the princely sum of £29.50 + P&P, the delivery took 2 weeks so wasn't very speedy but I was excited about recieving 'my Nads' that I ignored this fact.
THE PRODUCT
Well, it's a wax. But the difference is:
a ) it's made from natural ingredients such as molasses
b ) you could probably eat it
When it arrived it was rock hard in it's pot and I thought 'this is going to be like spreading tar' and dug the spatula in. It actually spreads quite easily as ...
worldwide ? Nads (N.B. it?s named after her daughter, Nadine).
WHAT ACTUALLY IS IT?
Nads is a green, sticky substance. It has no discernable smell; although it smells very slightly of sugar, it is to all intents and purposes odourless. It looks like slime, but the consistency is like melted toffee. All in all, it looks like something you wouldn?t really want anywhere near you, unless you were Shrek.
*Edit* Someone said something about taste in the comments, but I've never seen them eating it on the advert! Wonder how I missed that? Anyway, I'm NOT putting it anywhere near my mouth just in case it tastes nice, and I end up eating it all.
WHAT COMES WITH IT?
I bought the facialwandkit, as I wanted to try it on my ?tache. The kit includes Nads gel in a handy 12g bottle, sort of like a mascara bottle. The top unscrews, and when ...
