Nad's No Heat Hair Remover Wax

From the great reviews everyone else gave this product I was expecting amazing results which is why I was prepared to shell out £15 for a tub of Nads in my local Boots.

Unfortunately I can't say that Nads performed any better then an own-brand sugaring kit. It's not like it did terribly it's just that I had a number of issues with the product:

1. Firstly the 'gel' was really, really hard. I don't know how you're meant to use the product without heating it up, because I could barely put the spatula into it. This was annoying because the whole reason I'd decided to try Nads rather then using the usual hot wax/sugaring alternatives was because I couldn't be bothered with having to warm it up.
Anyway... after following the instructions and putting it in hot tap water for 5 minutes the gel was pliable and I thought things were looking up... HOWEVER

2. This method is NOT pain free as the blurb on the box may suggest. It basically rips the hair out at the root and there's no way that's ever not going to hurt. I sort of knew that it was wishful thinking, but I still hoped that it wouldn't be as painful as it was. I have a really high pain threshold as well (but tbh I was doing my bikini line so there you go...).

So after having to heat up the gel and then discovering that it was extremely painful I now expected it to at least WORK... but no...

3. Quite often the gel would just stick to the skin and not come off on the strip at all. I'm pretty sure that I was following the directions correctly and I've managed to use other products without any massive problems so I was pretty annoyed by this as well. Especially as (and this is my last point)...

4. It's really expensive. I thought that the results would justify the price but sadly I don't think this turned out to be true. Having said that the tub is massive. I only used a tiny fraction of it so it's probably going to last me ages (if I can ever be bothered to use it again). I have the feeling that it'll be more use on my legs, but I only have very fine hairs there anyway so it's a bit pointless putting the effort into waxing them.

Anyway - ultimately I just wanted to say that in my experience Nads ISN'T that great. I'm really baffled as to how others can have found it so brilliant but I suppose that there are lots of variable factors in reviewing a product like this. I couldn't really see any difference between this and any other basic sugaring kit - apart from the fact that Nads makes lots of overblown statements about how it's easy, simple and pain-free to use! Oh... and have I mentioned - it's really EXPENSIVE!
