Advantages: Good value for money Disadvantages: doesn't look as good as some other players
...speed trick play
- Parental lock
- MP3 track program mode supported
- Double bytes file name of MP3 track supported
- Universal power supply: AC100~240V
Now, I am assuming that some of these things actually mean something to people. I for one have no idea what a coaxial output is or what some of the formats are that the DVD player apparently supports.
******How does it look?******
Now for me, this isn’t really a hugely important consideration. Obviously, I might think differently if it was bright orange plastic sitting underneath my TV, but its not really the most important part. But, I know that when it comes to technology people (men!) want to know what stuff looks like to see if it will fit in with their other items, i.e., does it look cool...
With that in mind, the Naiko does look better on the front of the box than it does...

Couldn't find any info about Naiko anywhere in the www, except for Naiko Ltd, who merely imported Naiko products into the UK.
I asked about Naiko's dead pixel policy, only to be told they don't have one, and to simply return the TV to the shop where I purchased it within the first 12 months, quote "we're a simple company" unquote was the reply when I stated all other manufacturers have one.
Picture quality via a freeview STB and portable table top ariel is acceptable, considering the 8ms pixel response, 500:1 contrast ratio and 300cdm2 brightness...

Advantages: Remote Control Disadvantages: Remote Control
...Starts off alright for the first few days then it must just give up. Doesn't read most of my DVDs even ones bourght at the smae time from the same company and same region, alot of which it used to play. Remote control only works when pointed at the DVD player from particular points around the room. If left on standby most of the time it will not play the DVD that has been left in it even if it previously worked, needs some time to cool down. It does however connect to TV and VCR with ease but that hardly makes up for the rest of its qualitys now does it? Just a very poor machine all round.
Sorry Naiko but its the truth....
