The product that made my nails as good as new!
Advantages: Does actually strenghten nails Disadvantages: Not enough information regarding use
...then discovered a product called Mavala Nail Shield described as a Nylonized Nail Strenghtener which protects and reinforces fragile nails. It consists of two phases a Nylon Fibre Base and a Sealer. The tiny nylon fibres form a protective network over the nail surface to give extra support to the nail as it grows and the sealer is a special sealing agent to cover over the rough nylon fibres and make the nail surface smooth to receive nail colour.
... ...put on again and with Mavala I shouldn't need to, but I will treat myself to the luxury of a manicure every five weeks.
One other thing to recommend the use of Mavala is that I do a lot of gardening for myself and other people. I was always breaking my nails as I hate using gloves unless it is really necessary. Now that I am using Mavala I find that my nails are so strong that they do not break or split.
I am so glad that I discovered Mavala Nail ...

wouldn't be without it!
Advantages: works brilliantly, lasts a long time Disadvantages: can make cuticles hard
As a teenager I used to bite my nails all the time. Eventually I managed to stop in my early 20's but I think I had done some permanent damage to them. They peeled a lot and were very weak and bendy. I had tried several clear nail polish/treatments which all claimed to stop nails from peeling but none of them worked so I just kept them filed short and kept resisting the urge to bite them.
I saw this product in a chemist and thought I would give ... ...most of the other treatments but none of them seem to work. Plus this wasn't another clear polish which would just chip and flake off making my nails look even worse. This said it was a liquid which was absorbed into the nail.
I paid about £8 for it and it comes in a very tiny bottle. Still it has lasted me for nearly a year so I'm not complaining!
You need to apply this to clean nails, so remove any polish and give your hands a wash before you ...

Since trying Sally Hansen I haven't deviated from this range as the results are exactly what I wanted. Stop & Grow - Dont Bother!
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Tastes Terrible
Stop and Grow, it's a great idea if it worked! The packaging is a bottle with brush, same set up as a nail varnish. The fluid is clear and smells really bad, a bit like nail varnish remover. This small bottle should last you as a little goes a long way and can be purchased from most chemists. The bottle costs around £3- £4. Each day you are meant to put a small amount on each nail and allow it to dry in. As its completely clear you wont be able to ... ...is meant to help you stop biting your nails and give them a chance to grow and strengthen up. However I have bitten my nails since I can remember and I have tried this several times and it has never worked for me cause I eat through it or if you nibble your nails constantly the taste disappears! Better luck next time! ...
