being a qualified nail technician myself, i love trying out new products. my friend had had this kit bought for her as a christmas present and asked me to do her nails for her. i prepared her nails and gave her a manicure ready to paint. i applied the basecoat which went on smoothly, but then you cant realy go wrong with a bit of basecoat. then went on the pink layer of varnish.. which took quite a while to dry, but did dry with a smooth surface. ...

Disadvantages: Cant get right up close to the cuticle or do them too often.

On the rare occasions my nails are all the same length I like to have a French manicure. For special occasions I don't mind paying a professional but the rest of the time I am more then happy to have a go myself.
