Having just read the back of a sachet it contains - Paraffinum Liquidum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Calcium Thioglycolate, Calcium Hydroxide, Ceteth-20, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis, Parfum, Chamomilla Recutita.... if you need anymore information then im afraid you will have to go and look them up for yourselves....

RULE NUMBER ONE - DO NOT SHAVE DOWN THERE, NEVER EVER BIC IT!! (Actually this is the only rule)

Okay girls (and boys if you like) im sure we all remember our first time with dads razor, all your friends had hair free legs and bikini lines.

Not something I enjoy doing to be honest, but faced with the prospect of looking like a gorilla in the Amazon rain forest I have tried many different creams, sugaring, waxes, shaving creams and lord knows anything else which has been advertised.

Waxing is far too effing painful in the bikini line area for my liking, although when the holiday season arrives im straight off to the beauty salon, to be defuzzed because there is no way im walking round with sprouting hair hanging out of my bikini bottoms, I do have some pride.

The one good thing about waxing is that it does last 3-4 weeks down there so you don’t have to go back as often. However, if you do decide to go and be waxed (and I don’t recommend it) make sure you have plenty of Savlon in to numb the pain.

Sugaring is very messy and I end up looking like ive eaten a toffee apple in the baking hot sun. To be honest i didn’t like it so i quickly gave up on that idea and then there is shaving, now girls im sorry but shaving is not an option for me down there, i have only ever done it once and i will never ever attempt it again. It was painful, it itched and it was down right sore for days, it looked like I had some kind of disease with the shaving rash I got, even waxing was more appealing after that saga.

So having read the information on the back of the sachet it said to do a test patch to make sure you have no allergic reaction, sounds quite funny to test cream in the nether region, but once again having weird skin i took the safe option and tested it out.

Im one of those people who has extremely sensitive skin and most things, which are not hypoallergenic, make me itch and scratch and like my dad says to me “itch where it itches not where it looks best”

All very well and good dad, great theory if you’re a bloke and it times to rearrange your nether regions, but for a girl to start itching down there, people might think you have a little infestation so i always have to read the label before i even think about buying any kind of product, everything from make-up to wash powder.

My instructions are what I do when I use the cream, what the packet tells you to do, may differ slightly.

1. Smooth on Nair with fingertips or a spatula if you have one from another cream or lotion and then totally cover the area of that unwanted hair with a generous amount making sure it is as even a layer as possible. Whatever you do, do not rub it in. (Like a biology lesson is this!)

2. After 7-8 (on the packet it says 5/6) minutes test a small area. If the hair does not wipe off easily leave a while longer. Nair advise you not to leave it longer than 15 minutes.

3. Rinse off the remainder of the cream with lukewarm water, not hot water, using a wet cloth and then pat the area dry with a soft towel.

(",)So how did I get on with it?(",)

I think Nair works great although doesn't smell too good, its got that traditional hair removing cream smell and does take a little longer than it says on the packet to remove the hair, they say 7 minutes I say 8-10 to get rid of the lot and not have to re-apply the cream, but all hair is different, nevertheless it removed the hair extremely well and left my skin smooth with no dryness, and the result was 3/4 days before anything started to re-appear.

The other good thing about this sachet is that it comes with a finishing cream, which is totally moisturising and refreshing; it also pongs a bit (like your average hair removing cream) so I don’t bother to use it and stick to my regular lotion - Palmers Cocoa Butter.

Nair statement “As with all creams and lotions and potions we use regularly. Do not use on irritated, inflamed or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Hair removers can be used anywhere except around eyes, in nose, ears or on breast nipples, perianal or vaginal/genital areas.
