**WHAT IT DOES**
It is a wax, which will remove hair quickly with lasting results. It is hot wax, which is heated in the microwave. There is no mess and no strips as when applying this wax as you just peel it off. It will remove any unwanted hair leaving skin smooth and hair free. It claims to be effective even on short hair.
**PACKAGING**
It comes in a cardboard box which is mostly bright purple with green headings. All writing is in dark blue so its easy to read. On the front and top of the box there is the 'Nair' logo which is in dark blue and it also has brief information on the product here. On the other sides of the box it gives you very detained information about the product on how it use it and what cautions to take.
Inside there is a purple tub that has the hard wax inside. It is rather sturdy and this is what you put into the microwave to heat up. The 'Nair' logo is on the front of this tub in white writing. Included is a application (which looks like a lollipop stick) and a temperature indicator stick (which is a purple stick which turns pink when the wax is too hot). Two smooth touch wipes are also included to help soothe your skin after you have waxed. An instruction leaflet is inside that is very detailed and at it is recommended that you read this first.
If you are allergic to any of these ingredients do not use this product.
**PRODUCT**
This wax is yellow in colour and once it is melted it kind of looks like honey. You need to make extra sure that you have checked with the temperature applicator that the wax has cooled enough for you to put it onto your skin as it can be very dangerous. It uses a unique natural resin wax, which is smoothed onto the skin after being heated in the microwave. You make sure that you have used a thin layer of coating and it will grip of even the shortest hairs which will then be pulled away to remove the hairs from the roots. This giving long lasting results compared to shaving and the delayed appearance of regrowth. After use you can use the smooth touch wipes to remove any residue and help soothe the skin.
DIRECTIONS: It is useful is you have cleaned your skin and dried it first .You heat the wax tub in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Leave the tub for a few minutes to help diffuse the heat through the wax. Use the temperature applicator to test that it is cool enough to put onto your skin. It will turn pink if it is too hot. The use the applicator (looks like a lollipop stick) to smooth the wax onto the skin once it is safe to do so. Wait a few seconds, maybe longer if required for the wax to harden. Then peel off the wax strip along with any unwanted hairs in the opposite direction of the hair growth. My advice is to tighten your skin when peeling off the strip and do it in one fast motion, instead of peeling it gently as this will hurt so much more.
Make sure before you have used this product that you do a test patch as your skin may react badly to it. If the test patch irritates your skin do not use the product. If your skin is ok 24 hours later then it is safe to proceed to use this product. Your skin will turn red a little after use but it should disappear soon after. Make sure you read the warning on the leaflet before using, as there is lots of different things you shouldn't do when using this wax. Like you shouldn't use it on loose skin, weak scars, sunburn and many other skin conditions. You do not use it near the area and if you get it into your eyes wash immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. Wax should not be used by people suffering from diabetes or circulatory problems or on areas with varicose veins, moles or warts.
**MY EXPERIENCE**
My main concern with this product is that you can burn yourself very easily with the wax as it is very hot and you don't realise and put it onto your skin, however if you follow the instructions this should not happen. You need to be extra careful when heating the wax and leave it to cool for a few minutes in the microwave so no wax spits out at you. I find that this wax works better for me than other wax strips. It removes the hair effectively if used in the correct manner. I do find that sometimes it leaves a sticky residue on my skin however this can be removed easily with the wipes provided. The only problem I find is that I run out of wipes before I run out of wax which is annoying. It claims to remove very short hairs but in my experience this is not the case and I sometimes have to try again to remove the hairs as it doesn't get them first time if they are short. Overall though it does remove most of the hairs effectively. To be sure when you are going to wax I would let your hairs grow that wee bit longer so you don't have to go over it and it will get them first time. It does hurt using this wax as it does with all waxing however if you do it correctly it minimises the pain and eventually you get used to it. It does leave my skin with red marks but it goes away easily within a few hours. I love the way that there is no sticky strips lying about the wax just peels off and you throw it away with your hair attached so there is less mess in cleaning up, plus it is far more convenient. Sometimes the wax will not come off all in one go if the wax has not dried completely so make sure that it has hardened enough. After a few times of using this product you will be able to judge this more better. You can use as much of the wax as you need on one area and don't waste any of the wax. At £7.99 this product may seem expensive but it lasts for more than one application and I feel it is worth the extra money as it does what its supposed to do well with less hassle and more convenience than other waxing products.

...have been more wrong.
Nair Easy Wax comes in a convenient microwaveable tub which says it should take no more than 2 minutes to heat through. After 2 minutes it was still rock solid and after a painstaking process of putting it back in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time for a further 4 minutes it finally melted. It cones with a couple of wooden spatulas and after stirring it through to make sure it was evenly heated I settled down to wax my ... ...to follow but starting with my bikini area was my biggest mistake. The wax does not go on in a thin even sheet as the advert/instructions state, it is more blobby and stringy and definately not as 'soft' as it looks on the tv. Plus, the amount that actually goes on in one 'strip', as it were, means that even in the huge tub supplied there isn't enough wax to do your legs and/or bikini line more than a handful of times.
It hardens really quickly ...

Advantages: quick painless hair removal without the aftermath of itchyness and uncomfort of a razor Disadvantages: packaging is designed and aimed at the fairer sex. and the smell is slightly strange.
...hair was growing back but nair surpassed my expectations and not only did it keep hair away for nearly an entire fortnight, when it did start to grow back it was comfortable and i had no urge to tear at my skin. This product has now become a part of my grooming regime and will stay that way. one mistake "nair has made with this product was the fact its advertised for women and kind of puts guys off buying it. ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Painful, messy and pointless
...the ads for this new Nair Easy Wax, i thought "great! the same results without the hassle of fiddling with strips and the like." So, I rushed out and headed for the nearest Boots, bought my tub on special offer and set myself up for a much-needed bikini waxing session. Humph! What a waste of time, money, energy and effort. The heating instructions were inadequate - after heating for the recommended 2minutes, the centre was melted whilst the edges ... ...another, which then meant that I had to wait 20minutes for the wax to cool down enough to put on my skin, and then I waited with bated breath for it to harden and me to whip away those tiresome hairs - just like in the ad! Only problem was, it's nothing like the ad. the wax doesn't peel away in one strip - you have to pick it and then it comes away in bits and pieces, which makes the whole thing even more painful. Having realised that it was more ...

""Does what it says on the tin. What it doesn't mention is that it can bruise your skin.""
I didn't like this product at all. I bought it I was going on holiday and thought this would be an ideal time to use wax as it lasts longer than shaving.
I read the leaflet back to front to make sure I did everything it said. I did the skin test and that was fine.
It had a really pleasent smell to it, I was expecting it to smell awfull. I smeered it on as it said and waited. Pulled it back and was surprised that it didn't hurt as much as I thought. It really does work on short hairs. I have tried others which claim this and they dont.
So far so good.
Then all hell broke loose. My legs went bright red and small bruise patches started to develop. I had used it on the bikini area and this had gone purple, not ...
Advantages: As good as the salon Disadvantages: Not enough wax removing wipes
I was a bit wary about buying this product. Basically i did not think it would work.
This is a great product though the key is to get the wax at the right temperature if the wax is not warm enough the hair does not come off as easily. Also i leave the wax on until it has cooled down and that also helps with the hair removal. I have experienced no problems at all.
I have had my wax now for about three months and i like the fact that you can microwave the wax several times.
I think the price of £7.99 is very reasonable especially as i have had several uses from this product.
The other thing i do is exfoliate before use to reduce the risk of ingrowing hairs ...
Advantages: no need for strips Disadvantages: wax is not water soluble
.
I eventually opted for the NairEasyWax option.
I bought the white and purple box from my local Boots store, it cost me £7.99. It claims to be ideal for short hair.
On opening the box I found a tub of mauve wax, a wooden spatula and two aftercare wipes, as well as an instruction leaflet.
I read and followed the instructions;
Warm the wax in the microwave for approximately two minutes depending on wattage of microwave then leave to stand for a further three minutes ( there is a warning about burning the skin with wax that is too hot).
Dip the spatula into the wax and then place at the top of the area to be treated, spread immediately in the direction of the hair growth and leave a small amount at the end which is not pressed down so that you have a free end to pull the strip off with. Allow to dry until the wax is no longer ...
