Advantages: cheap! doesn't take long to work! smells nice, can use on all hair types Disadvantages: can stain your towel, can sting if put on wrong places
I bought nair for the first time just when I started University. This is because as a University student I am on a tight budget and this hair removal cream was going for 99p in Wilknson, I thought it wasn't going to work for me because for 99p that was exceptionally cheap. Nair can be used on all hair types, which I thought was great. It has baby oil to help leave you skin feeling soft and its floral fragrance leaves you smelling nice.
The hair removal cream comes well packaged in a thin box and the cream itself is in a smooth tube.
Opening the hair removal cream container is rather easy as it has the screw on lid, which can be un-screwed easily.

I had not really heard about the brand that much, so wasn't to sure about purchasing the product. There were other nair products on the shelf but my eyes were just drawn to this specific hair remover. Nair moisturising hair removal cream is manufactured in the U.K. For 99p you get a 100ml tube, the removal cream I actually bought was offering 10% extra, so it was bigger than the normal tube. Unlike other hair removals this cream can actually be used to remove hairs from bikini lines, armpits, legs etc. It is supposed to take a maximum of ten minutes to remove the hair and a minimum of five minutes (depends on how thick your hair is). You can either keep thecream in the box or you can chuck the box as the cream can stand on its own.
The cream is white in colour and is rather thick when it comes to texture. The instructions clearly read that I was supposed to try out a small area before using for the first time and wait 24 hours before I can actually use the product, but really I don't have the patience for that. So I quickly applied the cream onto my legs, without rubbing the cream in as directed. I covered all the hair within two minutes. I only went half way to my knees, to save some of the cream. Six minutes passed and I tried wiping off a small area on my legs, to my surprise the hair on my legs came off! I was well impressed, I started taking off the cream with my towel and rinsing it in my sink until all the hair was gone. Not a single hair could be seen on my legs and my legs were extra smooth, just the same as when I use the expensive hair removals such as veet.
I was really determined to put this hair removal to its maximum test, I decided to use it on my bikini line. We all know I am black, therefore hair on my bikini line is thicker than my legs. I was really in doubt that it would work, I was ready for disappointment. Just like my legs, I applied the cream with my hands without rubbing it in. However, in the process I touched my inner bits by mistake IT REALLY STINGED! I wiped it off with my towel and the sting didn't go away immediately. I waited six minutes before, I could take off the hair, actually on the box it noted that if the hair does not come off in six minutes wait another four minutes, but I didn't really have the patience, as I wanted to go out. I wiped off the cream with my towel, (if only you could see my face), I was grinning like a kid in a candy shop haha. The hair came off leaving me extra smooth like my legs, I was very impressed and glad that I invested my 99p well. I did the same on my armpits and the results were even better.
Downside to this hair remover is that it does not come with an applicator like other hair removal products. Who can really complain, I guess for 99p that is what you would expect, so instead I just used my hands which applied the cream very well onto my skin. Another downside of this hair removal cream is that although it can be used to take off hair from the bikini area you would be in trouble if you touch you inner parts by mistake. Please it really does sting, take my word for it, so be careful on the bikini area! When you take off the cream off your legs or where ever you are applying it, do not use your towel for the reason that it will stain it. My towel, got stained, I tried washing it in the washing machine but it didn't get rid off all the cream and it kind of changed colour as well. I had to buy a new towel as I couldn't see myself using a towel that had been stained. I wouldn't really blame the company for this because if i clearly read the instruction this would not have happened.
I definitely recommend this cream to anyone who wants to get rid of hair from their body. Whether you are rich or poor, saving money is always a good idea and this hair removal cream comes at the right price! You should be able to use one tube twice, but can depend on how big or small your body is. I have gone back to wilknsons to buy another box because I was too satisfied. I was really glad to have bought something cheap that actually works, i can now wear my mini skirts and jean shorts without being aware of the people around, as the cream does not leave an rush (which you may get from shaving).
Note
---This can not be used by children. ---I have only seen this product in Wilkinson, therefore I am not aware of any other shops who might be selling this product. ---This hair removal cream can be used on all hair types, so don't hesitate to buy it. ---If you have scars which are not yet healed, don't use the cream because it will make it worse. ---When taking off the cream from your skin don't use soap. ---It would be a bad idea to use your towel when taking off the cream because mine got stained, and I had to buy a new one as my washing machine couldn't take it off.
...plumped for the tube of Nair Cool Gel hair remover. This has been sitting in my cosmetics stash for about a year. (Yes, I buy things and never use them. I like to have my own branch of Boots bursting out of the bottom of the cupboard for emergencies just such as this)

Advantages: QUICK TO USE, QUITE CHEAP TO BUY Disadvantages: CAN BE A BIT MESSY
...In the past, Nair used to do sachets of cream specifically for legs and another type for the bikini area. Now, they do one that covers all areas – it is suitable for use on the bikini area, legs and underarms. It comes in anew ‘fresh’ fragrance – a lot better than some of the nasty smelling products you can get. Cost wise, it comes at the cheaper end of the market – I can’t recall ever paying much more than £1.99 ... ...few more sachets. Nair is by no means in the same league as Immac – (when I’ve used this, I’ve had excellent results which seem to last a bit longer) but, as far as depilatory creams and lotions go, it’s not bad. So, here’s to plenty of fuzz free features in the future (try saying that when you’ve had a few!) ...

...applicator until about 1/4" of nair is revealed and smooth on using the applicator. Completely cover the area of unwanted hair with a thick even layer." In laymens terms, take the lid off and slop the goo all over your legs.
It took me about ten minutes to totally cover my pins, and then I sat on the bedroom floor with a magazine to let it soak in. So there I was, legs akimbo so as not to spread it all over the carpet, looking like I was taking ... ...cream.
Before I go any further, what it fails to mention on the tube is that this stuff smells something akin to sewage works, I mean a really, really vile stench, so before you start open a window or put on a gas mask.
The instructions state that after 5 minutes you should test a small area, and if hair doesn`t wipe off easily then you should leave it a bit longer, but no longer than 15 minutes. Knowing I`ve got more hair than your average gorilla, ...

Advantages: Good customer service Disadvantages: The product doesn't work!
...the local shop had - Nair . It was labelled as New 3 in 1 Gel and described itself as a hair remover + moisturiser + skin conditioner with aloe, allantoin, vitamin E and natural moisturising factor.
Just smooth on and shower off – it said which sounded simple enough.

1.Smooth on Nair with fingertips. Completely cover the area of unwanted hair with [in bold] a thick even layer. Do not rub in.
It also says ‘The moisturising particles will disperse on the skin during application.
The gel has little lumps in it which I assume are the moisturising particles – BUT they did NOT disperse. I guess that means no moisturiser so nil points for moisturiser.
2 After 5 minutes test a small area. If hair does not ...

Advantages: something different to try Disadvantages: strong smell, gentle in sensitive areas, doesnt always remove all the hair
...Boots one day I noticed Nair hair removal products and was quite intrigued, I'd seen an advert for a hair removal cream on tv, I dont think it was for Nair, but I had the general idea of how they worked so I decided to see what they were like!
I cant really remember why I chose Nair, to be honest I think it was one of the cheapest and I reasoned with myself that they all do roughly the same job! This product is a glide-on hair remover. It contains ... ...white plastic 100ml tube with Nair written on in blue italics and various other info (smooth touch) written in a grey or blue colour. On the back there is a LOT of very small writing, this includes more info on the product and the instructions. To be honest the packaging is pretty plain and doesnt particularly stand out. The instructions are clear but are so tiny that you have to hold the tube quite close!
The cream is relatively easy to use. There ...

Advantages: Easy to Use, Good packaging, removes hair Disadvantages: Smells a bit bad
If you ever have the problem of unwanted hair and you are fed up with plucking, waxing and shaving then Nair sensitive hairremover could be the product for you.
It comes in a small twist top bottle, with a built in brush which I find very handy for applying carefully onto my skin. The smell is a little off putting, but not as bad as most hairremoval products and it also disappears after washing off. So for the product itself you spread it on to the area that needs treating and leave for up to 5 minutes. Never exceed that time. If you feel any discomfort then you should wash of immediately. I have fairly sensitive skin and found that this was gentle enough to use for me and cause no irritation at all. It contains special natural oils which help calm the skin.
The result? Completely hair free and smooth skin. Unfortunately it doesn ...
Advantages: works well with no irritation Disadvantages: The cream smells bloody awful
, nevertheless it removed the hair extremely well and left my skin smooth with no dryness, and the result was 3/4 days before anything started to re-appear.
The other good thing about this sachet is that it comes with a finishing cream, which is totally moisturising and refreshing; it also pongs a bit (like your average hairremoving cream) so I don’t bother to use it and stick to my regular lotion - Palmers Cocoa Butter.
***Health Warning alert***
Nair statement “As with all creams and lotions and potions we use regularly. Do not use on irritated, inflamed or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Hairremovers can be used anywhere except around eyes, in nose, ears or on breast nipples, perianal or vaginal/genital areas ...

Advantages: It works! Disadvantages: Stings like Hell.
Ouch! a few days ago, on a whim, I decided to do my bikini line (sorry lads) - commence wincing now!
I don't often do it to be fair so it was rather out of hand and I opted to use a depilatory cream against a razor or wax, knowing that the re-growth with a razor itches like hell and wax, well, just say OUCH!
I bought a sachet of Nair Bikini Bare from Superdrug for about £1.60. This comes in two sections, a sachet of hairremoval cream and a sachet of finishing/moisturising cream. The whole lot is enough for one application as a trial or travel pack - it is available in larger packs too.
It smells like putrid, sweaty armpits but more chemically, and is a thick white goo. You apply it to the intended area with your fingertips and wait 8-12 minutes for it to work.
The cream melts away the hair and should leave your skin ...
