Hi I'm Leanne, 22 from Huddersfield. my reviews are also posted on Dooyoo under the same username- leanne8686.
I don't get on here very often, when I do I tend to post a few reviews I have written and saved in Word on the same day.

I am addicted to eating out at Nandos but in this credit crunching times I'm trying my best to eat in more. If anyone else has this addictive problem then these sauces are a good idea to get that Nandos fix at home.
The range of sauces are the same as the ones you get in the huge bottles in a Nandos restaurant: (Mildest first down to the spiciest) Wild Herb Garlic Medium Hot Extra Hot
I always choose to have my meal medium heat and then add a dash of the garlic peri-peri sauce when we eat out. When we were in Sainsburys last week, the Nandos sauces were on offer at half price but they only had the Hot or Extra Hot sauce so I braved the Hot one!
Not all supermarkets will have the whole range which is a shame, so far I haven't been able to locate any of my favourite Garlic Peri-peri sauce.
What is Nandos Peri-peri sauce? ------------------------------------------------- --- "PERi-PERi is the heart and soul of Nando's and the secret ingredient behind our restaurants worldwide. Nando's PERi-PERi Sauces are a unique and addictive blend of sun ripened lemons, garlic and spices and of course, the fiery African Birds Eye Chilli"
The birdseye chilli is the main ingredient in Peri-peri sauce, this chilli contains anti-oxidants and Vitamins which are very good for your immune system so it's not just tasty, its healthy too and 100% natural ingredients!
Peri-peri is also rumoured to be a powerful aphrodisiac, if you have enough sauce girls it works as a lip plumper too lol.
Nandos Hot peri-peri sauce -------------------------------------------- This is the sauce I bought, it was half price and should have cost me £1.70 for a 125ml bottle but I got it for 85p, a bargain. The bottle is quite small but it will last ages as you don't need a large amount on any meal as its so spicy!
I am told on the bottle that this sauce is made in South Africa despite Nandos being a Portugese brand, this is because the birds eye chillies grow solely in South Africa.
No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The sauce needs to be kept refridgerated and consumed within 3 months of opening. I had my last bottle longer than that and no harm came to it.
---The taste Very, very spicy! I'd never dared to try the hot sauce in the restaurants and this is why; it burns your tongue and your lips but tastes so so good.
The main taste is of course the chilli but as your mouth cools down (after many glasses of water!) you can taste the tang of the lemon and a hint of garlic too. It has an almost sweet kick to it too when you get over the inital hotness, all in all a gorgeous flavour which is highly addictive.
Its good with chips, cheese on toast and most other foods too to be honest, I've tried it with most meals in the last week.
Most of the time I have diluted it slightly by mixing it with salad cream, sounds odd but it really works and makes a peri-peri flavoured dip which is yummy with pizza dipped in or again chips/potato wedges etc.
I have used it every day as I say and have hardly made a dint in the contents of the bottle, my last bottle lasted well over 3 months so don't think it looks tiny though it does compared to ketchup bottles and other sauces.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Advantages: Tasty and versatile, it can be added to a wide range of meals to give it a kick! Disadvantages: I wish they sold the bottle sizes that they have in the restaurants!
Advantages: Full of flavour and perfect for sharing with the unique Nando's Peri-Peri taste. Disadvantages: They have the dangerous combination of being both moreish and pricey !!!
