*WHAT IS NANDOS?*
Nandos is a chain of restaurants which focus on chicken dishes. Their speciality is their 'peri peri chicken' which is explained below. The overall cuisine of the restaurant is rooted in traditional portuguese dishes, although there is a little something for every palate here!

The food at nandos is second to none. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could eat there every day. The staple of the menu is their chicken. There are a variety of different chicken dishes available including:
Peri Peri chicken - whilst all chicken here is peri peri, you can opt to just have it on its own and not in a 'dish'. There is the option of 1/4, 1/2 or whole chicken with either lemon and herb, mild spice, medium spice or hot spice ...

Advantages: Fast, efficient, friendly service, good food, bottomless softdrinks Disadvantages: Not a household name yet
Nandos is a Portuguese-style chicken chain, specializing in flame grilled chicken and hot sauces. Not many people in the UK are familiar with the brand, but it is growing rapidly, and that is not at all surprising. What is also surprising is the fact that this chain originated in South Africa. I first came across this restaurant chain in 1998, while I was living and working in Pretoria, South Africa. I became completely addicted, and luckily for ... ...me share with you the Nandos experience: THE OUTLET:
Nandos mainly started out as a take away outlet, but it turned into a memorable dining venue. As can be expected, it is theme centered, but not overdone, just enough to make you forget for a few moments that you are in London. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with heavy, sturdy wooden tables and furniture. The décor is mainly in warm Mediterranean colours, rich yellows and oranges, that inevitably ...

Advantages: Very tasty flame grilled chicken. Good service.Nice ambiance. Disadvantages: As yet not many outlets
Nando's, I believe, are a South African chain which serves Portuguese-style flame grilled chicken. While this group as yet has far fewer outlets than such fast food giants as McDonalds,Burger King,Pizza Hut, A & W, or KFC, its reliance on quality is very, very, impressive, and they are fast attracting quite a dedicated and loyal following.

...to take me to that Nandos place? I've never heard of it."
"Yeah let's do that ..I think there's one in Bayswater. Oh and they're building one on Gloucester Road."
"I've never been before, is it good?"
"It's a little different, but it's cheap and quick."
"Perfect."
Nandos is fast food done properly. If you have chicken cravings, Nandos is the place to satisfy your needs, and it has saved me from a dinner of pot noodles more times than I care ... ...a faceook group of ex Nandos employees where they said that they'd leave a couple of chicken pieces in the extra hot all day waiting for that show off trying to look big, and then watch him squirm! You may find that evil, personally I find it quite funny.
There's a wide array of starters including olives which are rather nice, although perhaps there's a little too much garlic. For pudding you can have a never ending amount of frozen yoghurt, which ...

Take a little look on the left hand side of these pages and very often you will see the list of favourite restaurants as voted for by the opinions of members of ciao.
You might have noticed that “Nando`s” sits proudly there, as it has done for some time now. For those of us in the U.K and particularly in the south of England, this chain is getting a totally justifiable reputation as being an excellent place to eat out!
I hope to give ... ...progress but in the meantime let me tell you a little story………..
The History Lesson
Long, long ago, well before P.Cs and Big Brother, we humans were in the position of having to find our own entertainment and diversions. On the Iberian peninsular, those dastardly Spaniards were developing their own brand of “The Weakest Link”. They called it “The Inquisition”! They also combined this with cultivating a ...

...Nandos Hot Peri Peri Sauce is excellent for chicken dishes. I use this product conservatively over chicken and then add some dried chillie and then shove it in a pitta bread with salad. The sauce itself smells great and comes in a dinky little bottle. Its very spicy so i woulnd't recommend just pouring it over chips or anything like that but use as i've described or with any of your favourite dishes and im sure it will add that spicy touch. I think i paid around £1.39 for a 125ml bottle of this stuff but on stand by in the fridge its worth every penny. This one stands out for me among all Nando's sauces and i would certainly recommend it to anyone who want to satisfy that urge for something hot and spicy....

...Nandos Peri Peri sauce is served with food within the restaurant chain of Nandos which has many outlets nationwide. Nandos is a portuguese origin restaurant which sells predominantly chicken on its menu, there is only one steak option which is a prago steak wrap, so if you are not a fan of chicken i believe nandos isn't for you.
When in the restaurant one can opt to have their chicken glazed with the sauce when it is cooked on the flaming grill or there are sauces in bottles available to pour onto your chicken when it arrives at your table. The bottle is akin to a bottle of any condiment, you can pour as much or as little as you want.
The Peri-Peri Sauce itself comes in a variety of spices which are all available within nandos restaurants themselves...

...Chicken is like, my favourite food, and so naturally I could eat Nando's for breakfast lunch and dinner.
For those of you who do not know what Nando's id, it's a Portuguese style restaurant which sells chicken and chips (sounds boring I know) and you can order your chicken in different levels - Plain, Lemon and Herb, mild, medium, Hot, very hot.
Anyone who has Nando's will tell you that the Medium is HOT HOT HOT, and therefore only if you love having vindaloo for breakfast would I recommend anything hotter!
I always get medium, and in the restaurant they also have a shelf of big sauces, in the same sort of flavours (very hot, hot etc) all peri peri style. As well as getting a Medium Peri peri half a chicken I also get very hot sauce to go with my chips, because although it burns my face off, it's so addictive!!!
Anyway, back...
