Nando's, I believe, are a South African chain which serves Portuguese-style flame grilled chicken. While this group as yet has far fewer outlets than such fast food giants as McDonalds,Burger King,Pizza Hut, A & W, or KFC, its reliance on quality is very,very,impressive,and they are fast attracting quite a dedicated and loyal following.
When you dine at Nando's you place your order at the counter,pay your bill, are given a number and your order is delivered to your table,usually within around ten minutes.
The core offering at Nando's is delicious flame grilled chicken. You can order the likes of chips-excellent too I should add- Mediterranean rice, soft rolls, and a range of beverages including beer,coca cola and mineral water. Orders can be placed for a quarter-half or full chicken and for familes there are various combo type meals,again a quarter-,half or full chicken,complete with chips,coleslaw, and drinks.
The pride and joy of Nando's are their superb peri-peri dips. You can order very hot,hot or mild, and there is lemon and garlic and tomato ketchup dips if you are not too much into spicy dips. My personal favourite is the hot peri-peri,this satisfies my cravings for a spicy offering but is not too pyrotechnic as to become overpowering.
I have visited Nando's four or five times and also availed myself of their excellent home delivery service. Each time I have received my piping hot flame grilled chicken,nicely packaged,within 30 minutes of my telephone order. Now that is good service,isn't it !
After some deliberation I wonder whether the term fast food applies to Nando's.Their core food offering is so tasty and is such a quality product that I doubt whether it should be described as fast food. I should add that the service at Nando's is professional yet friendly and the ambiance and decor at their outlets very pleasing on the eye.
Nando's get a top rating from me. Their food is good, the service is exemplary, their home delivery service first rate, and their prices very reasonable given the quality of the produce they offer. Even their chips are a class above the greasy french fries you get at some other fast food outlets. All in all I strongly recommend a trip to Nando's!

These restaurants are expanding , there are a couple here in manchester.
the chicken is really quite tasty but the peri peri sauce , makes it. Also if you ordered a soft drink ,you help yourself whcih is handy if you the sauce is to hot for you or if you are dining with thirsty kids.
