Huggies nappies
Advantages: available in all sizes for when the baby is growing up Disadvantages: is not available in smaller shops, and that other brands are more popular
i used Huggies Nappies used for my son when he was born, they are great value for money and absorb better than other nappies like pampers and own brand nappies from supermarkets like tesco, and asda although the wipes from huggies are not so good the nappies are great.
my son is now using the huggies number 3 nappies and has never had a nappy rash, however when we started to use another brand, a rash did appear.
i would reccommend this to anyone ...

WHY TERRY NAPPIES ARE NOT MY CUP OF TEA
Advantages: Reusable Disadvantages: Expensive
...nappies. I bought lots of terry nappies from Tesco and smiled at myself for the effort and the principle behind it. Well, after using them for a week, I woke my hubby in the middle of the night and told him that I was switching to the disposable ones. One, they are soo expensive, Two, my little one suffered nappy rush in 3 days and thirdly I couldn't keep up with washing them!! To add salt on the injury my baby just wasn't comfortable in them plus ... ...really irritated him Not to mention the fact that they just never remained white with all the stains despite soaking them in varnish and washing up liquid ( got the tip from a forum online lol). My sister used them for her bub and was totally fine with them but I just think that it depends on the individual if you have the money to keep up with the washing and drying and your baby is comfortable in them, then they are a good choice particularly if ...

All good intentions
Advantages: Soft, good for the environment, cost effective Disadvantages: Too time consuming for new Dads
...I finally settled on the Tots Bots Bamboozles with velcro fastening.
Every time I showed anyone around the nursery I made them stop at the pale filled with fluffy white nappies and preached to them about how long it takes a disposable nappy to decompose - how boring I must have been! Unfortunately, even with the best of intentions I didn't become Mother Earth and here are the reasons why.
My DD was only 6 pounds when we took her home and so even ... ...that big that she couldn't lie fully flat. So the first 3 weeks of DD life we used disposables.
At 3 weeks I started to use the reusables. As directed I used a nappy with diposable liner inside and wrap covering the nappy. This didn't seem like too much bother to me. To Daddy on the other hand, who had just mastered the art of getting the disposable on the right way, this seemed like lots of unneccesary work. So Mummy used reusable and Daddy used ...

Good quality, but for some reason never good enough
Advantages: Good for sensitive skin Disadvantages: they leak too much and very expensive
...for me none of the pampers did the work, plus I believe they are really expensive. Big loss It has a very comfortable material and its good for babies who have very sensitive skin, but to be honest, My son's pooh went out all the time ( terrible for me, lol) I now buy sainsbury's basics nappies, they are 20 nappies for £1.50 , I believe thats cheap, and to be honest they do a better job than pampers for a lot cheaper price . ...

Good Poo Catchers
Advantages: Lightweight Secure Fit Disadvantages: None
We bought two of these for our daughter before we went on holiday and they are great.
You can get them in a range of sizes, and they also come in girl or boy colours (obviously we got the pink ones for our girl). They are fastened around the waist with velcro and also have a drawstring for extra security - no-one wants to see a floater in the pool do they?! They are not designed to contain wee, just poo.
They are very lightweight and allow for ... ...think twice about wearing them, which was a relief for me!
They are also very reliable as my daughter did actually have a 'movement' while wearing one, and it was very well contained! The only downside was that there was no washing facilities in our holiday complex so I had to handwash it in the bath - yuck!
Anyway, the good thing about these nappies is that they are washable so you only need a couple which should be sufficient until your child ...
