Back to basics with basic terry squares
Review of Terry Nappies by EmmB

Advantages: Fast-drying, economical, one size just about fits all
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

...looked back! I chose terry squares because quite frankly I found the array of nappies and nappy systems bewildering, and new that terries were the cheapest option. I bought three nappy nippas, and a set of wraps, fleece boosters and disposable liners which suits me just fine. I find that they are quick to dry (an important consideration if you haven't got or don't want to use a tumble dryer) - far more quick than shaped nappies which take an age ...
...hassle to fold the nappies which seems to be one of people's main concerns! I also find that it is really easy to store and wash the nappies - I 'dry pail' and add sanitiser to my machine and wash on 60 degrees. I find that there are no odours when storing my nappies, and use a drawstring bag to store them in the day when I am out and about. I would thoroughly recommend terries if you want a simple, straightforward nappy system that is environmentally ... Read review

Big Fluffy Bums
Review of Tots Bots Nappies by thejigglyone

Advantages: Great for baby and the environment, come in a nice range of materials and colours
Disadvantages: Expensive initial outlay, can be hard to get, some take long to dry

Tots Bots were the first reusable nappy that i tried. After researching for months i took the plunge and bought 3 fluffles, a rainbow bamboozle, a fleece wrap and a PUL wrap. I tried these out on my little lady for a few weeks. By the time my son was born a couple of months later i was well and truly an addict. I now own loads and loads of different brands of nappies in different shapes and styles so be sure that I am experienced in using cloth. ...
...recently they have introduced dolly tots (cute nappies for dollies), bamboo towels and face cloths. I want to know more about the nappies? All nappies are gently elasticated to give a snug fit. This is especially good in the event of explosive poos. All nappies, except fluffles also feature an attached flapout booster for more absorbancy and for faster drying. Fluffles feature a booster but it snaps in with poppers. Cotton Tots: The original Tots ... Read review

Bambino Mio and all they have to offer.
Review of Bambino Mio Reusable by kalliemaile

Advantages: Can be used with more than one child to save extra money , 100 % cotton
Disadvantages: Quite costly

...nappies and one stood out, Bambino Mio, it was easy to use, the design was nice and it looked to be the most comfortable for my baby, it wasn't bulky either, so I went out and purchased a few more wraps and nappies and claimed back £30 of my spend. Bambino Mio nappies are made up of 3 separate parts... Mio Nappy - this is a cotton towel like pad. The pad is made up of layers of cotton so it absorbs well, the middle of the pad is a bit thicker than ...
...till the next change. Bambino recommend that if you are using only cotton nappies, you will need to purchase 24 Mio Nappies , 3-6 soft covers and 1 role of Mio Liners initially. Personally, I have 4 covers and 10 nappies, obviously the liners you will just need to keep buying as needed. Also it will depend if you will be using solely cotton nappies or a mix of real and disposable. I use cotton nappies most of the time, but if I know I am going ... Read review

GOOD FOR WINTER but may CAUSE NAPPY RUSH in summer
Review of Kooshies Nappies by sleepybaby

Advantages: nice looking, well fitted, easy to look after
Disadvantages: still leak, may cause a nappy rush

...two pack of new Kooshies for £5 each (£10 for 10 nappies !) in a second hand baby shop we were over moon. Grabbed the bargain and run away before the seller has changed her mind. I think if you bought them for full retail price they will cost us around £80. It sounds a lot after we paid only £10 but I think they worth it but not during the summer time. i will explain why. WHAT GOOD about Kooshies? 1) SNUGLY SHAPE. They fit very well. Thanks to ...
...softer. WHAT BAD about Kooshies ? 1) LEAKAGE. They are fine while your baby is little and does everything in small quantity. When by baby was 2 month old I found more leaky nappies every day. The booster pad helped but it also made a nappy very bulky between baby legs. I believe it restricted my baby movement while she was laying on her back and trying to move her legs. 2) NAPPY RUSH . When spring came I noticed that my baby had a symptoms of nappy ... Read review

Motherease washable nappies
Review of Mother Ease Reusable Nappies by medusa8

Advantages: Enviromentally friendly, good for babys skin
Disadvantages: Big enitial cost, a little bulky especially on a newborn

With my first son I used a different brand of washable nappies along with a laundry service but they were terrible and leaked all the time. I was in two minds about using them again with my second son, born this year, but I like the idea of them and care about the enviroment , which disposables are terrible for, so decided to give a different type ago. I settled on the motherease brand after some research on the internet and talking to friends and ...
...absorbant, with no leakage so far! and dry very quickly once washed. The nappies themselves can be washed at 60 degrees and the wraps at 40 I believe. The do not require any special teatment and there is no need to use fabric softener as they are soft enough and good for babys skin. too Plus fabric conditioner reduces absorbancy. I found them as easy if not easier than disposables, they are adjustable around the wasit and legs with poppers and/ ... Read review
