Wham-Bamboo Bamboo nappies (Wam-Bamboo)
Review of Wam-Bamboo Nappies by ciaoemma

Advantages: Super soft and absorbant, cute colours, slim and well fitting
Disadvantages: Slow to dry if line dried

Bamboo nappies are the latest "big thing" because bamboo is about 60% more absorbant than cotton, is really soft (and doesn't go hard like cotton does if line dried), and it's really eco friendly. Bamboo grows really fast, and without artificial chemicals such as herbicides and fertilisers, so it's essentially organic. Bamboo fabric is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Wham-bamboo nappies are available in two sizes - birth to about 4-6 months ...
...training. The waist tabs are wider than other nappies (eg Bamboozle) so fit better on larger toddlers, or overnight over several boosters. The aplix version folds over at the front to fit skinnier babies. They have a loose as opposed to sown-in booster, which can be taken out to make it fit better on a smaller baby which is great. You can also take boosters out of your other Wham-Bamboos to boost up an overnight one - so really flexible! Wham-Bamboos ... Read review

Simply Huggies in sheeps clothing
Review of Tesco Nappies by nj106

Advantages: Cheaper than huggies!
Disadvantages: If you can live with a 'tesco' branded product (i.e. not shallow).

Tesco nappies are the real alternative to the branded huggies. Now, everyone wants what's best for your baby. The problem is though, that these 'best' things are usually branded and as per usual, you pay for the brand rather than the product. Sometimes, the things which are best are just too much money, or maybe you just want a cheaper unbranded alternative for the exact same product? Well, the later applies to this. Tesco nappies are outstanding ...
...no difference from using the Tesco nappies as I did from using the standard ones from Huggies, having tried and tested both only the packaging was different, well, and the savings! From the money saved on nappies, we were able to apply this to other goodies to treat our little girl to. Let me stress the fact, you are not being 'cheap' by purchasing these, they really are the same product without the label :) Summary: Great and cheap alternative ... Read review

pampers baby dry nappies
Review of Pampers Nappies by gabriella25

Advantages: very absorbent, comfortable, secure
Disadvantages: a little more expensive, could do with being a bit tighter around the leg

...of the night i discovered pampers baby dry. i got them home and found they were super thin things. i wasnt at all convinced that these could possible hold all his doodles. but i was left very surprised. When he pees the little absorbent crystals inside the nappy expand and soak up the lot. when he does a doodle it can sometimes squelch out the leg if its not changed straight away. the elastic round the leg could to with being a bit tighter. They ... Read review

Imse Vimse flannel nappy
Review of Imse Vimse Form-Fitting Flannel Diaper by fayeb

Advantages: Quick dying, soft, brith to potty
Disadvantages: slightly more expensive, can only be used with shaped wraps.

I bought these nappies as an extra to my other shaped nappies which are made of bamboo and therefore take some time to dry. However, I regularly reach for these even when I have the bamboo ones clean and dry. As they are a one size nappy they are easy to adjust as babe gets bigger, and the elasticated legs keep any leakage in. They can be a little bit fiddly as baby starts wiggling as you need to hold the nappy in place as you are fixing the outer ...
...fits as reusable nappies go, which can be somewhat bulky. As there is no fixing on the nappy, rather being held in place by the wrap, they can only be used with shaped wraps, and due to the difficulties with wriggling babies, I would advise velcro fixed wraps to make life easier They have an inner flap which can be folded to provide extra absorption dependent on whether they are being used for a boy or a girl. As an added bonus, as they are flannel, ... Read review

Little Lamb Bamboo reusable nappies.
Review of Little Lamb Reusable Cloth Nappies by fayeb

Advantages: Cost effective, good fitting
Disadvantages: outer wrap leaks

...for the Bamboo of the Little Lamb option as it is meant to be a more environmental choice and a higher rate of absorption. They seemed to fit much better than the other two which were fairly loose and baggy. Fortunately they were also the cheapest option. I have been very pleased with the nappies from LIttle Lamb - the velcro fastening is quick and easy and means it is easily adjustable for a good fit. I have been very impressed with how stain resisitant ...
...time and I only wash on 40 degrees unless they are heavily soiled or he has a tummy upset. Whilst thy do take longer to dry than cotton nappies, they only take a day on a clothes horse and then 5 minutes in a tumble dryer to soften them. However, I have not been impressed with the wraps that come with the nappies as I kept getting leakages around the thigh area and with a couple of the wraps the stitching came undone. Although the company offered ... Read review
