National Breakdown promise that if they do not turn up within the hour then they will pay you a cheque for £10. After every breakdown they are supposed to send you a form with the details of your breakdown on it. You then send this back to confirm what a wonderful job they are doing or not if that is the case. I have found that on the two occasions I have had problems and they have taken longer than the hour to arrive that by coincidence the form with all the details also failed to arrive. After a phone call they posted "another" form in the mail to me, the first apparently went missing on both occasions. Eventually they did pay the money to me.
So if you have trouble remember to get the form and check the timings. It may just be in your interest to do so.
