BBC Radio 1 Review Advantages: Great Djs, Good music, Funny Disadvantages: Run by BBC ...today i will be reviewing BBC Radio 1. I usually listen to Radio 1 at night as its something to do while trying to get to sleep (not a bad thing!). I personally enjoy the Chris Moyles Show and Scott Mills mainly because I find Chris funny and Scott has some great features from the old angry pizza man wind up to the new Whats Becky's Forté which features Becky the Assistant Producer trying to find that talent she excels at. All in all This is a great radio station obviously as its the BBC you get the feeling everyone is being over cautious and trying not to offend anyone but it doesn't affect the entertainment too much. All We Hear is Radio Ga-Ga! Advantages: Probably the best news and sports station in the UK Disadvantages: Some programmes are boring ...I wrote about BBC Radio Five Live in my previous incarnation on Ciao as mrpaella. I still listen to the station every day. Usually my wife watches a plethora of Indian channels on the living room TV. I usually listen to the station broadcast from the alarm clock radio in our bedroom. It is still the best station for sport and current affairs. DRIVE I was saddened when Jane Garvey left 'Drive' for BBC Radio Four. But Peter Allen and Anita Anand do a great job of hosting this show. The interviews are well-conducted and there is a lot of humour in the show. Peter Allen always talks about his vegetarian daughter and his love for Tottenham Hotspur football club. Radio 2 -- Easy Listening With Style! Advantages: Diverse shows that appeal across the spectrum Disadvantages: The mix can be a little strange at times. ...absolute pleasure to listen to. Exceptionally better when there is nothing to watch on the TV, which in all honesty really covers most times of the day and night. If you mss the show you can also listen on-line via the BBC iPlayer. TALK SPORT ROCKS! Advantages: Good listening Disadvantages: none First of all... I am female!!! I hate football(of course except for England :)) but I have to say,this is my favourite radio station. I like listening to pretty much all of the presenters,even mr John Gaunt lol. Most favourites are Ian Wright Wright Wright and the fantastically funny Mr Mike Parry. Even for those who don't like sports, the topic of conversation isn't always about sport. There are some very controversial debates daily. Loads of competitions ... ...listen. Alan Brazil is funny too,even when he is sober! Gaunty the shock jock, is very entertaining, althoughy lots of women would disagree with most of what he is saying,although I agree with lots for example that women should be married before having children to give them a stable home. Being a married lady with 2 children I can agree. "If you have got kids , give em a hug and a kiss and don't forget to tell em you love em". Radio 4 Advantages: Excellent programs of a wide variety of genres from news to comedy. Disadvantages: Nothing. ...I am no fan of them at all, but for all of the garbage and propaganda they are responsible for, they do at least have Radio 4 (and BBC 4 digital TV) in their favour. Some people who work for the BBC, it seems, have not been completely brainwashed. ...
