I used a NatWest Mastercard for many years mainly because I originally banked with them.
I have had no major problems with payments etc.
I was irritated a couple of years ago to find that they were to introduce an administration charge on top of interest charges.
At the time, I thought that this would become inevitable on all credit cards. However, the competition, particularly from on-line providers is now much more intense and there are some very good deals out there. I now have a credit card with one of the new on-line banks which I am very satisfied with.
I decided to cancel my NatWest card today. Upon reading the small print I noticed that they now do not apply the administration charge provided certain conditions are met. A nice try, but too little, too late for me.
I would recommend anyone looking for a credit card to shop around.
