I have a NatWest Credit Card and i think its great! i am very dependant on it and it is accepted just about everywhere!
the online website is quite easy to use. their online facilty is great. i check my balance and trasfer, etc all the time on the website. i did have a little problem a few months ago but i was refunded in full. but other than that one time i have never had any problems with the card - no mysterious money missing or unusual charges.
natwest offers you the ability to apply for your account on-line. When you've completed it and clicked on 'send application' you get your application within 48 hours.
you have the option between a MasterCard or Visa, which are accepted in over 19 million outlets world-wide. i went to the USA about 2 years ago - i wont go into the story in too much detail - but lets just say that i dont know what i would have done without my natwest credit card!
there is no annual card fee. Balance Transfer APR of 5.9% until the balance is repaid. Standard APR rates of 17.4% for Purchases and 19.2% for Cash Advances. There is the ability to pay off your monthly balance by direct debit and u can get an extra card for a friend, partner or relative at no extra cost. (i personally wouldnt do this!)
The initial thing that caught my eye and made me apply for this card was the airmiles reward. u get 1 airmile point for every £20 you spend (excluding cash advances). the number of airmiles you earn each month are shown on your monthly statement. i have accumulated numerous points and redeemed them very easily for various outings and offers.all though i was a student when i applied for this, i had no problem getting the credit limit i wanted. i just rang up a month after i got my card and asked them to increase the limit from £300 to £1500. they just asked me why - it was to purchase a desktop computer - and hey presto - pretty eazy!
i must warn you that this credit card has high rates and isnt for those people who cant pay off their bill in full each month. (minimum payment is £5) for those people who cant pay it at all - the late payment fees are very high.
I prefer to pay mine in full each month - online - by transferring money from my natwest account.
on the whole this card gets me through those hard times - of which i have had plenty whilst i was a student. im now a gradute and moving to london - im really gona need my card! but natwest's overdraft facility on the graduate account is excellant - but never the less i will be depending on my natwest credit card for thos initial purchases until my compnay pays me the relocation fee, which i will then use to pay off the credit card!
