...that I go for the Navman F20, one of the cheapest on the market at the moment. In fact at £149 it was Halfords cheapest GPS navigation system. There were a couple of things I was looking for from my Sat Nav system as it had to be able to keep me informed about Speed Cameras and I wanted something that would provide traffic alerts and alternate routes, but I'll get onto all that shortly.
The F20 is one of the more sleek designs on the market and ... ...a case of deciding which Navman model to go for. Of course the other models all had more features but at almost double the cost I thought I would be best sticking with this one, especially as it was £50 cheaper than the TomTom equivalent. The Navman met my need for Traffic Cameras; I mean come on who could really deny how handy that feature can be. I bought the Navman F20 my first ever Satnav and so I didn't really know what to expect. What I got was a surprise, a lovely slender looking gizmo that has lot's of settings which can be programmed in a matter of seconds by touching the 3.5" TFT screen. Easy to use software and comes with a warning that appears on the screen when switching the unit on, warning of the dangers of using it whilst driving, and asking the driver to program ... ...was a little mean of Navman who produce an in house charger at £15.99 (Source Navmanstores.com). The unit can only be updated by purchasing a connectivity kit £9.99, and this would be general updates only (free). For updating the safety camera locations you would have to pay a further £34.95 for the UK only (12 months subscription charge). To get up to the minute traffic information such as accidents and traffic jams etc, you have to buy Navman T1, ...

As well as the verbal commands the map displays your route so you know exactly where to go. I haven't had it that long but it hasn't got me lost yet! I bought the Navman F20 for my girlfriend for xmas, but have found myself using it more than she does.
I find it fun to use. The screen is big and clear, yes the F20 is wider than the TomTom etc, but it is very slim in comparison. The touch screen is easy to use, and the in-screen buttons and options are simple to follow. From first taking it out of the box we had it up and running in under 2 minutes.
I bought this product because it was at the ... ...It comes with the unit, an in car cradle and an in car charger, I have heard complaints that it doesn't come with a wall charger or a PC connection cable, but we only use this product in the car, so we do not have a need to charge it in the house. It comes with maps to cover all of the UK and Ireland, so again I can see no need to connect it to the PC.

...of others I chose the Navman F20 and would just like to say how pleased I am with it. The navman F20 offers great value for money and offers many of the same features that are found in more expensive models. Features include; 3.5" colour touch screen, 8 digit postcode search, latest GPS receiver technology, pre-loaded safety camera locations, nearest parking and fuel location buttons.
The beauty of this product is in its simplicity, its very easy ... ...a useful feature and the navman F20 makes it hard to miss any junction.
The graphics are good, with nice large maps and arrows indicating the route directions.
Some minor faults are that my Navman doesnt recognise some streets and needs to be updated. The instructions in the provided booklet arent clear on how to go about this. Also when I found the download for an update on the Navman website my pc didnt allow me to do the download, so I need ...

I do not get on with nav man sat navs what so ever! I am writing this to personaly reccomend you do not buy one. Although the mapping is very clear and easy to understand, setting up where your going is not so easy. I have had many many problems with nav more
I bought this recently after a friend reccomended it to me, and i must say that it is a superb piece of kit. I managed to get mine for £135 which i thought was a good price for this product. It is very accurate and i havent had any problems so far... more
To sum up in a sentance - I would buy this again.
I previously had a Garmin product which worked very well, but eventuall gave up on me. This forced the purchase of a new model which must have European mapping. The S90i has that and a few other bits more
