The f30 comes complete with windscreen mount and in car charger, however the charger only works off a 12v supply so being a coach driver this meant i had to go out and buy an alternate charger. Up to now the navman seems poor when compared to the tomtom . The address and postcode entry is very slow ... ...street search function, taking a pause after each letter entered. The back on track function for if you take a wrong turn is near useless you have to slow down to a crawl while it sorts itself out. The f30 works well on the major roads but get it in town and it can be a real pain identifying which road it is wanting you to take. The traffic alert system is average, and having to have the aerial plugged in to the system and stuck onto the windscreen ... more

Up to now the navman seems poor when compared to the tomtom . The address and postcode entry is very slow and prone to error, i.e. not listing streets under the street search function, taking a pause after each letter entered. The back on track function for if you take a wrong turn is near useless you have to slow down to a crawl while it sorts itself out. The f30 works well on the major roads but get it in town and it can be a real pain identifying which road it is wanting you to take. The traffic alert system is average, and having to have the aerial plugged in to the system and stuck onto the windscreen is just more hassle to remove when you pull up and get out. It has no limited speed function which is a useful feature of the tomtom. The speed camera database is a useful feature however the f30 does not know the speed limit of the road that you are on. alli in all buy a tomtom.

having used the navman for a month now i have had no problems with it at all. it is easy to use and has a good size screen. the screen can be had to view in bright light but the voice directions are easy to follow. the f30 comes with traffic updats and speed camera locations. these both work great and has spotted every camera that i have come across. the traffic update works well to avoid traffic and will divert you round these with no input my you it just gets on with it . this is a great buy and i would not be with out it. ...

If you need a sat nav buy tom tom. This is a cracking piece of kit, I was unfortunate to have mine stolen a month ago, replaced itt with the navmanf30, that was a big mistake. The tom tom is easy to use and very accurate. From the moment you turn it on the tomtom shows its strengths. it is very quick to get a satellite fix from switch on. The address entry system is quick and easy to use. Many options for route type as, fastest , shortest, limited speed, avoid motorways, bicycle route. not featured on navman. excellent poi database. All information such as eta , dtg, time, speed, heading, on main route screen. Came out of the box with 12/24v charger very handy. the tomtom i bought had the speed camera pack thrown in and the machine knew the speed limit of the road i was travelling on. and would flash if i went a few miles per hour over ...
