I can type my home address which is in London but the route takes me to France if im not careful. ... ...on there? Have they abandonded what little good they had gathered from previous models? Well obviously!
Another thing that really gets on my nerves are the voices. Despite the fact you are lucky enough to have a choice (male or female) the voices go right through my head. The number of times the voices say the same thingy is unreal. Before a roundabout they can tell you which exit to take up to 7 times. No jokes!

I can type my home address which is in London but the route takes me to France if im not careful. However, this doesnt happen with other models, so whats going on there? Despite this the battery life is resonable and the in car charger is obviously a must for any satnav system. The durability is immense. On numerous occasions i have dropped the system but still works perfectly fine. Well as well as it had in the past anyway.
All in all, the idea of satnav is brilliant no-one can argue with that but whatever you do don't buy this one. Honestly don't!!!
Advantages: Straight forward, user friendly, low purchase cost. Disadvantages: only 5 digit postcode search.
...such a reasonable price, the NAVMAN iCN330 does everything you would want it to and is ideal for say day trips etc... although this is the first sat nav system i have used and can not compare to others, it is very good.
As far as i can see its only disadvantages are
1) no speed camera locations (but i wanted the cheapest, hence i knew it did not have this function) 2) to find an area to go to, often you have to look through the address database ... ...rather than by a postcode search as it is likely to say - postcode not found/unknown).
The iCN330 has some key features of use;
- volume up/down - easy to access whilst driving.
- the screen 3d map and text are large enough to glance at whilst driving - it also use's key colours to identify main/secondary roads.
- a quick option button that takes you to the main index - this gives you the options of ; points of interest... address (search) ... ...

Advantages: Low price, small, light, charges pretty fast Disadvantages: can be tricky to use
I bought this sat nav mainly just to go from one place to another. I was very impressed with the price but also wondered why it was so cheep compared to other sat navs. It does not have speed camera detection which would of been a nice feature, and the post code search is a bit dodgy with only being able to search for part of the post code. But aftera few hours of getting used to the controls and search function, I could find almost any place in ... ...go off route it will automatically find an alternative route. The voices (choice of man and womans voice) are very clear and can be understood perfectly. It gives directions in plenty of time and repeats them again closer to the junction/turning/roundabout. Another great feature is the places of interest. Never run out of fuel again! It shows you where garages are!! :) ...
