I Purchased the Navman back last year, from halfords for a heafty £249.99. But i have to say I have never looked back.
Advantages: Quick and easy to install, i'm a women and managed to do it with no help, all I had to do with it was plug it in. The screen and navigation keys are very easy to use, and very clear, makes getting around the system alot easier. The map display is great, and yet again very clear, also has a Point of Interest option on it, which is very useful i.e if you have gone out for the day and you need to get to a garage for petrol or post office etc.. the list is end less on there. The map display can be changed, to either a map, or a list of instructions. with 2d and 3d maps. The display can also tell you your speed, the ETA, distance until you have a another turning, distance until you arrive at you location It has a speed limit warning on it. whic can be very annoying if your on the motorway and your speed is chaning but can be switched off. The back on track feature is good, and basically means if you make a wrong turning, or decided to go another route, it will make sure you still arrive at your distination. Fixs easily to the car windscreen with sucktion cup, this has been in the car nearly a year, and has never once come off the windscreen. the cradle sits nicely and can be positioned anywhere in the car. The unit is portable, and has re-charable batteries.
The only disadvantage i think to the unit is that the sound control is a little low, on motorways, radio has to be tunrt right down and windows have to be up! although my car is very noisy on motorways.
The unit has been dropped for a flight of stairs and landed on a concrete pavement, and only got away with one tiny mark and still in good working order.
All in all i would rate this product 10/10 very good value for money
