If you are looking for a cheap PDA, this is well worth considering. Because it is often marketed as a satnav system only, you can pick it up for around £100 new (as I did) or even less second-hand.

Basically you're getting a pocket PC for about a third to half of the price of more well known models. It comes with Windows Mobile 2003: this includes Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook, as well as Media Player.

It's really easy to synchronise with your desktop or laptop PC, so you can automatically update your calendar and contacts etc. For example, I now keep all my names, numbers, addresses, emails and birthdays in Outlook on my PC (this is supplied too). When I add to or edit them, the Navman automatically updates itself next time I connect it to my PC.

It's also very easy to add software (plenty of free stuff available) for all kinds of uses. It has a microphone for dictation, and you can watch video, play games and listen to MP3s on it.

The downsides are that it doesn't have that much memory, but this is fixable as the Navman as an SD card slot. The Satnav is a little fiddlier than better-known applications but will get you there, even if you take a wrong turning!

There is infra-red but no bluetooth or wi-fi, but you can pick up compatible wi-fi cards for the SD slot. I have one, and it works fine.
Also the charger connector does the job but is quite flimsy so I recommend buying a cradle for it.

It's worth noting that the built-in memory is volatile, which means if you leave the battery flat for too long it will wipe, so it's best to always recharge on the same day that it runs out, or keep all your important stuff on a memory card.

Overall though, a great little product for the price, makes organising your life really simple.
